If you downloaded the kernels directly from Omegamoon's site, then yes, it will be sluggish because Omegamoon made a slight error when compiling kernels. Regardless of resolution to your TV (e.g., 720p or 1080p), the device's internal resolution is still 1080p. Omegamoon is aware of this already as I've been contacting him privately back and forth in troubleshooting this issue.

Download the kernels from the front page here and flash it through clockwork recovery. If you don't have clockwork recovery, then download the kernel anyway, and extract the kernel.img file in there and flash that. I must warn you, however, that this is not my ideal method of flashing kernels because changing from 2dark4u's kernel to Omegamoon's kernel has resulted in a black boot for me. Get the 720p kernel in this thread and install it. The performance is ridiculously good.

And you're right, if you're in Belgium, you're likely using 50hz refresh and not 60hz. When I have the time, I'll try to compile 3 more kernels for the three resolutions but in 50hz. I forgot that 50hz still existed. Lol.

    Cheers.
P.S. PLAYING CAT WAR 2 ON A GIANT TV IS FUN. LOL.

Leolas, have you tried any of the kernels on the front page? I know you won't get WiFI, but I'm just wondering if you have. =)
Sorry i didn't try those specific kernels yet, but i try my own kernels compiled from omegamon github almost daily. And I am working now in 4.2.2 and setting a properly scrips for my own kitchen.

      Finless 1.7c of course

and I've installed it using CWM and using Finless Flash Tool, same result, I got it to boot (after about 10 bootloops) but it was very slow and unstable, and every time I rebooted i got into yet another set of bootloops, so I reverted and I gave up on it

2dark4u is the only kernel (other that stock and finless) that works for me

Is there a way to upload these files on a location where I do not have to sign up for spam?

Yeap that happened to me when I came from 2dark4u kernels. I had to do a clean install and select the .IMG file to begin with when installing with the flash tool. Sorry that you can't try this kernel. Enjoy your device regardless !

See bugmenot. Another user posted it earlier in the thread.

            Just done the test.

Sorry for the record quality. 720P kernel but recorded with my S2 in front of the tv. Same channel, the Omegamoon one might be recorded closer to the tv but I think you will see what I mean.

Very interesting problem. Two things we could try. First tick both force GPU rendering and disable hw composition under developer options and let me know if the stuttering persists. Of it does....try to lock the CPU speed to 1.2 or 1.4 GHz and see if it still stutters.

              Let us know what happens.

Well actually tried two things. Locked the CPU to 1.5GHz on Omegamoon and ticked GPU rendering.

Need to check if I can use the recorded TS files from the sat and post them on my webspace or so just to make it easier to see what is going on.

Problem is I was not coming from 2dark4u kernel... it was a clean flash after 1.7c... but I don't think I've tried flashing the kernel instead of the 1.7c version...

                      I have Finless 1.7A Rom with kizs Kernel 2.1 720 P on my Mk808
What is the best way for me to update my MK808 with Finless 1.7c and with Omegamoon's Kernel ?
Shall I use the RK Flash tool in finless rom and change the kernel img to Omagamoon's Kernel file ?
Or shall I flash with 1.7C Rom first and then flash kernel with CWM ?
                      please help.
                      Thanks

                        @PoisonWolf

Just uploaded a direct stream from the sat to my ftp. Will pm you the link (about 36MB)
i must say it is not the best possible example since it causes interlacing issues on Archos for some reason (known issue I think) but this one doesn't drop that many frames on Alex's kernel

Aha Omegamoon. Well I will pm you the link as PoisonWolf could play it perfectly on his. So it might have to do with data transfer.
I see you are from NLD which could make a conversation and test handier.

Glad that is sorted out then. I haven't had any issues with dropped frames, so I was surprised to read this.

Now... Still have to get the MK808B Wifi/Bluetooth working
