I have a modified .kl file with works with the rc11,inkl. the funktion keys. I changed the button for hiding/enabling the status bar to f1 because the f11 is actually the volume down. This file has to be added extra, and propably works only with rc11, maybe rc12, so the generic.kl remains intakt.

I can share it tomorrow if you are interested.

I have the RC12 and only power (sleep) and F11 (hide status bar) works. Would be great if volume, play etc worked.

Then chmod 644 (file permissions)

2.hdmi passthrough. Rockchip is working on that, pay attention at what I said, the rk3066 designer and maker, with all the sources and engineers are working on it. Lets be realistic, Bob is a great developer, but some things are far away from now.
And kernel related, I am sure that if Bob works on kernel he can do a lot, but in this moment he is working in give us a lot of custom roms for a lot of devices, each port has a lot of work.
In other side Omegamoon is working hard in the kernel, adding new functionalities like touch supports and the last thing I see on his github and blog, is a fix and more effective control of frequency. I hope he can fix WiFi in rk903.
I try to explain that some things have a lot of difficulty. But Bob and other developers are great, lets see what they got.

Fair enough - that´s why I was more thinking of option 2.1 - DTS passthrough via USB sound card with SPDIF. If this is working with any other Android device, it could be potentially ported to the MK808, as it should be generic. Let Rockchip do the HDMI passthrough. What do you think?

And concerning the kernel: Why not cooperate with somebody like Kizs or Omegamoon?

Funny, for me the function keys of the RC11 worked out of the box. I can adjust the volume and also press play/pause, skip, reverse. Everything just fine.

wish list for Rom 2.0

I use my mk808 mainly to stream from websites and remote potato servers. Currently on Rom 1.7a and I have found if the ROM is set at 1080p I get Shutter and delay using mx player. I have found the ROM set at 720p mx player runs smooth. I do not know if the kernel replacement would fix this?
1.On my wish list would include the flash player hack to have hulu work in boat browser or even include the standard hacked hulu app. Maybe flash just does not work well on jelly bean. I don't know why flash content on say FX.com plays well on my htpc but shutters and skips on my mk808?
2. I have heard that Netflix app for Google TV is 1080p but the android app is 720p at best bases on internet connection speed. Is there a way to include the Google TV Netflix app?
