Issues Flashing Finless 1.7 for MK808b With Windows 8...Help would be Appreciated

I posted this inside the Finless 1.7 thread and realized it would be better suited as its own post out of respect for the developer and not clogging up his thread:

So i've spent all morning and afternoon reading this forum and the finless 1.7 thread and googling and reading and re-reading the readme file included in the install package...(The PC mentioned in this post is a Samsung Series 9 running Windows 8 professional)

I first followed the instructions in the readme.txt and could not get the ROM Flash Tool to recognize my MK808b at all. I have enabled usb mass storage and turned off USB debugging, as well as checking and unchecking the "connected to pc" box in the settings menu. Next I tried the RK Batch Tool and followed the same procedures with no luck (the box never turned pink). After both of these methods failed, I tried to put the stick into flash mode by pressing the hidden button with a pin and connecting to my laptop via OTG. When I tried to load the drivers windows tells me that the driver install has failed (win 7 x64 are the drivers I chose because there is no win 8 option...also, I have disabled the driver signature verification in win 8 so that should not be a problem). I have a win xp pc at my disposal but it is not very reliable, and I'd really like to be able to complete this process with my pc. I am looking very much forward to using this rom on my MK808b, and I am waiting til after I get Finless installed before I really start setting up my Android. Any help I recieve would be amazing. Thank you.

Make sure you are using usb 2.0 ports. My 3.0 ports wouldn't see the 808. If you can use the usb 2.0 ports on the back of the pc that are directly connected to the motherboard. Then try with driver driver enforcement disabled. Thats what I had to do on win 8 64.

OK...now I have gotten my computer to recognize the device with the rkbatchtool and gotten it into flash mode, but now I am getting this error when trying to install drivers:
"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. The has for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. This file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering." I have re-downloaded the package and tried again, but I got the same error. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Success...just in case anyone else runs into these issues I wanted to come back and update. I went into advanced settings in Win 8 to disable driver signature verification again and the entire thing worked perfectly after that. I guess it resets each time you restart the computer.
