Thanks for the info! Can you maybe specify what live stream you are talking about (and maybe using what plugin?)

I'm using it to stream files of an FTP server and that works fine so far. Not a live stream of course.

i made a fix for streams.
unpack thease files http://d-h.st/lQB into /system/etc/
          set permisions "rwx --- ---" to install-recovery.sh
this way it load fix at startup.

Additionally if your using one of my ROMs it has init.d script support.
Just rename the script to 00script.sh
copy it into the init.d folder.
            reboot

still no cigar, I have copied the following files
                librtmp.so
                librtmp.so.0
                install-recovery.sh

to /system/etc/ and have set the permissions to all the 3 files to "rwx --- ---", still XBMC crashes on live streams like BBC Iplayer or ITV.

Bob, I also tried copying librtmp.so and librtmp.so.0 and renamed the install-recovery.sh to 00script.sh
and set the permission to all 3 files, still the same error. what did I do wrong

I made a mistake in what I said. Do not put a file extension on the script name.
                  call it 01script not 01script.sh
                  Sorry about that.

Also permissions need to be set on the script.

                  Using ES file explorer,
Long press on the 01script file and select properties from the list.
click the change button to set permissions
click ALL the boxes except the last WRITE box.

Or from a terminal type this
                  su
                  chmod 775 /system/etc/init.d/01script

thanks for the reply, followed the above steps, now things are lot worse, now getting a prompt at startup that 'XBMC has stopped' , guess the build is buggy

                      for me its working nice:"
try manualy copying librtmp.so and librtmp.so.0 to /data/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/lib/ and set permisions to "0755" "rwx r-x r-x"
you have a rooted firmware right?

                            I install finless 1.7c for mk808
                            Use xbmc 13-alpha1 hw-accel version and advancedsettings.xml
                            720P works great~~
1080P is little bit laggy but affordable.
                            Thanks~~~

HERE or HERE. 2nd one should be the same HW accel decoder as in the first link, but put in an updated version of XBMC.
