that probably is the case for my logitech c310 webcam.

but it doesn't explain why my mic through the sound card which was working for recording sounds and make calls on the stock ROM, now it is not. this is why i'm spending time trying to find out why. if it's the cam compatible issue i wouldn't be this stubborn.... I can give up trying that c310 cam, but it bugs me that the microphone and sound card was working now it isn't.

I asked if the stock ROM worked for all you are doing. You said no.....

Now you say it did work on the stock ROM so I am confused in trying to help.

let me explain again.. I bought the MK802 IIIs 3 weeks ago. When it first came out of the box, i swear i was making skype calls without anything attached to the stick ( other than wireless mouse dongle) no mic, no cam, no usb sound card, nothing! because I didn't have any of those devices at all. I was able to use the stick to make connection with skype to hear sounds from the other room sent from an android phone.

last week I bought the usb sound card and was able to use it with my MK802iiis and record sounds with the pre-installed app through the mic i plugged into the mic jack on the dongle. up to this point all was fine.

then I found out about Finless ROMs.. I flashed them without any problem. all processes went well and all functions that were supposed to work worked. ( except the skype calls and the mic recording apps) So I went ahead and tested out other ROMs to see if this happens to other ROMs. and yes, all other ROMs shows the same problem: Call, Ring, hit accept connection, and right away the call failed. no matter what i tried and how many times i tried.

I then went back and forth between all the ROMs I have, hoping to fix this problem. no luck. at last, I flashed back to the stock ROM. still not working. the calls and the mic recording is not working any more.

I posted this thread for help. After you guys said no way the skype will make connection without a mic or cam, I went and got the logitech c310, the closest to the model number suggested. on the package it also has a skype logo printed next to the other popular chat apps. so i bought it.

came home and plugged it in to the large USB PORT by itself. and the mouse dongle moved to the OTG.
I was able to see the device on the setting and MK802iiis switched to it automatically. but calls still failed.

I also tried again with the usb sound card and mic by itself, still no calls and not even recording sounds with apps now..
and then i tried to install apps that use mics or cams. all of them failed to connect. only one of the apps tells me that my mic is blocked.

i'm stuck here at this point. i know it sounds like an incompatibility issue but not for the mic and sound card, cuz it worked. And from my observation it looks as if some port is not turned on or blocked.

so far, no skype calls or any recordings after custom ROM flashing, not like when I first bought it with the factory ROM.
I was able to do so.

hope I'm a little bit more clear this time. I apologize. and appreciate your help.

SOLVED

ok. Today I did something different. It is now working.

Here is what happend, This whole time it felt like some app was blocking or occupying the mic/cam.
But I clearly just clean flashed this ROM, there's no app installed other than the pre-installed ones from the ROM.

Usually when I just finish flashing the ROM, first thing I do is to set up the WiFi, go to Playstore, Download Skype and install.
dial the echo service. it rings twice and hangs up, says Call Failed. this happens to all the ROMs i flashed.

But today I did one extra step after I flash the ROM, I went to setting and hit factory reset. , reboot.
and then I set up my WiFi and DL Skype. This time it works. Making calls and stay connected with mic sound and video working! Yes, my webcam, too.

BUT, after I restart, everything back to NOT working. very strange. It won't work, all calls failed no matter what I do unless I hit factory reset again to clear every thing. and then it will work again. really strange.

So I thought some old setting must've been reloaded when I restart and causing the block.
I found in the settings page ---> Backup and restore options.
the Automatic restore was checked. Bingo! caught. This option loads the old and bad settings back, don't want that!

I uncecked it. and restart and test, restart and test few times. it stays working. although I still don't know exactly whichapp was to blame but a least found the issue.

problem solved.

MK802 IIIs + Logitech C310 webcam on Finless 1.7b built-in WiFi @135Mb/s with correct SSID name.

your method is rigth! it there was a app blocking ka camera! in my case it works with c270 logitech but when i when i end the call it wil not works anymore and try again all over its not work anymore and all the time i reset to factory the shit automatic restore is always check in there, im using superman finlees 2 beta! sir bob the problem in skype now has a lead! we can be ur tester to this problem. i try to flash again my mk808b to sure erase all app

When you fresh flash the ROM, make sure you go to settings and uncheck the "Automatic restore" option BEFORE you set up WiFi passwords. or it will be too late.

When you sign up for PlayStore for the first time, make sure you uncheck " Back up to Google server". if you don't , the automatic restore will check ON again. so be careful.

finally skype problem is solve mine is working now, mk808b original finless 1.7 all model. thanks to you sir! method works perfectly! now i can enjoy skype in big screen! That is WIERD that backing up to google would cause Skype to not work!
Must be some account or data that is being saved as a session ID then restored and that is causing next sessions to not work. Very weird!

Makes me wonder if hanky panky is going on here! Remember Skype is now owned by Microsoft and they do not like Google and Android

Solution that worked for me .

I tried Your method guys. Worked for a while and then stopped again. Skype calls failed and Hangouts couldn't establish video. By the way I've got Mk808b with Logitech C270 connected directly to the big usb socket. I've got mini wireless keyboard with pad connected to the OTG port.
Solution: Choose Connect to PC in settings ( keyboard stopped working) unplug and plug in to mains again...now works ...
