I just tried the new boot image from above, but it only shows for a second and then the old boot animation is shown.
That's not a big improvement, I was hoping it only shows the googleTV image since I'm not fond of the blinking animation. Did I do anything wrong, or is it meant to work this way?

No, you're doing it right. Before the "bootanimation.zip" plays, there is a static image when the device is first switched on.

Thank you cacoe for the explanation, I did not know the difference between the boot logo and the boot animation.

What happens if I flash the 720p boot image with the 1080p kernel? I guess that's not a good idea, right?

I would really like a 1080p version of the "Google TV powered by Finless ROM" boot image.

          Hello there

First, thanks to Finless guy for the hard work and the attention to the community..and thanks too to the guys that put this specific topic into relevance!
Here's my move about MK802 III (720p) - what do you think? It would be really nice to see a boot.img with this image included

I would like to change that flashy bootscreen to a simple one like the google tv symbol above too. Is there any possibility not getting the recent boot screen on mk808B finless 1.7?
The old one was cool too. I just don't like that christmas tree feeling

            thx a lot bob

Which Finless ROM ? 1.7C ? Maybe you can point me to the link ?
I just got my MK808B too. It has the green leaf wallpaper which I couldn't find the place to change it... and it does not have any off button or sleep button...
I like the boot up screen which is very simple "Google TV", "android".... simple is nice...
I hope Finless Bob can create a simple and not too fleshy boot up screen too

              Thanks.
              Yes, I like simple too.
For boot animation, "words" is better than "graphic". Juat like "Minix" bootanimation.zip

"Powered by Finless ROM x.x" can be added below the Product Logo like "Minix", "MK808" etc. or a common new Freaktab logo. Not that Android....arh. Just my view.

                  Suggestion

Ok, I know this is a pretty old thread, but I want to make a suggestion for Finles.

I've recently bought a MK800B and, after installing Finles 1.7, I've found out how useful can it be now that the old "snail" ROM is gone! Thanks a lot for the incredible Finles ROM!

Anyway, like some other users, I also don't like the boot animation in Finles 1.7 ROM. I have an idea to recover the posibility of users customizing the boot animation and, at the same time, to avoid people stealing Finles work. However, I'm not sure if it is feasible.

The idea is Finles to recover the user's capability to customize the boot animation by themselves but, during ROM boot up, programatically, overlay some kind of copyright text ("This is Finles 1.7 ROM" or whatever) over the customized animation.

                  Regards,
                  superruizma

This is an old thread, but I'll try anyways.

I flashed the LGandroid boot logo to my Finless 1.6b cx-919 rom and it went into a boot-loop. I checked that I had the appropriate kernel for the image. With the 1080 kernel the 'RKM' logo loaded followed by the LGandroid logo, but it was all screwed up, also with boot-loop. With the 720kernel everything fitted perfectly, 'RKM' logo was clear and crisp and fitted the screen perfectly, same with the LGandroid logo, but again it was stuck in a boot-loop.

What's weird is that when I flash finless 1.6b as normal, 1080kernel with 1080boot.img it all works as it should, but the 'RKM' logo is small and not centered. If it's possible to fix-it so the LGandroid boot.img loads with the 1.6b 1080kernel this rom would be perfect from start to finish.
