    **UPDATED**[ROM][ICS] Elektricity ROM - PMID703C

    Introducing Elektricity ROM ICS!

    New in 0.31:
    • init.d fixed

    Features:
    • Based on latest stock Polaroid ICS
    • Rooted
    • Latest Google Play installed by default.
    • Busybox updated to latest version
    • init.d support by default
    • Scripts for speed added (See note above)
    • Latest CWM recovery
    • Petrus' 'Reboot' application. Features:
      • Reboot
      • Power Off
      • Reboot into CWM recovery

    • Apex Launcher enabled as default launcher

Thanks to: 900supersport, petrus, Tattman65, Finless, LiquidLimez

    Installation instructions:
***NOTE: IF YOU ARE FLASHING FROM THE STOCK ROM, PLEASE REMOVE YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD BEFORE FLASHING-IF YOU DO NOT, YOU MAY LOSE YOUR DATA!!!!***
    • Follow these instructions with the exception noted below (No reason to re-invent the wheel): http://southerntelecom.com/polaroids..._pmid703C.html
    • In step 17, instead of using "PMID703C_Firmware_4.0v3_OTA.img", you'll obviously want to select "703C_elektricity_rom_v_03.img". Note some folks have had trouble flashing-if so, just rename my file to "output.img" and it should flask ok.
    • 'LET IT SIT' for at least 5 minutes before doing anything to let the ROM "Settle".
    • Reboot (I just added this step as a 'just in case things aren't quite working the way you want')

    Problems after you flash?:

PLEASE DO NOT REPORT PROBLEMS IN THIS THREAD until you've confirmed you followed the above instructions EXACTLY. Please don't report the problem in this thread until you've tried a factory image install first to see if that cures the problem.

Hey there Todd-it all depends on whether you *just* want close to stock ROM that Southern Telecom offers, except with bloat removed and google play added (and root), or if you want my custom Elektricity ROM which adds tweaks to it.

Which would you suggest? I have a Polaroid 703C Tablet and it sounds like your custom ROM would be better.
Thanks for your help and post!

Well, you're not going to get an 'unbiased' opinion from me, but I use my own ROM obviously. It's faster and provides the same functionality as the modified stock and/or stock ROM.

LOL! Yeah I guess that was kind of a silly question now that I think about it. I will let you know how it goes.

Ok. If you've never flashed a LiveSuite image before, make sure you know and understand all the steps ahead of time.

I have Flashed a LiveSuite image before and it worked like a charm. Quick question. One of my kids downloaded Candy Crush Saga from the Play Store and it is not displaying properly. When the message boxes pop up during the game it is just a black box and you can't see the words. Some of the display squares, called jellies, can't be seen either.

Is this a know display issue. Is there anything I can load, install, or change to fix this. As a reminder it is a Polaroid 703C 7" Tablet.

                  Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I think it has to have something to do with the resolution/display as it appears that transparent images are not displaying correctly.

So I just downloaded and played it. Never noticed anything you experienced? I even turned the tablet off and back on and launched the game to see if it the problem appeared after a reboot. nothing...

                        Maybe re-flash the image??

Re-flashed and the problem still exists. The resolution is 800x480 for my 703c. Maybe there is something in the display settings. Thanks for trying and for your help. Very strange.

I doubt it-like I said, my tablet doesn't experience that problem. Perhaps include some screenshots-maybe I'm actualy seeing it and dismissing the issue because I'm not familiar with the game.
