CWM recovery flashable zips for all Bob finless roms.

I did flashable zips by cwm recovery for mk808 devices, i am plaining to do that for every rom published by Bob Finless.
It is not so difficult to made it by the fact all people can do this following this thread:
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ke-a-look-here, but a lot of time is needed for make all zips for all roms, so I will release some Finless roms every day.

    ADVICES:
Roms was made by Bob Finless, not for me, I only made the cwm scripts, so all thanks to him for gave us all those fantastic roms.
And please comment how they works and give thanks to Bob in their roms threads, comment here only if you have issues with this install process.
The cwm recovery was ported to rk3066 devices by fun_ from http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/ thanks to him for all his great work.
I only made the cwm scripts so i think is the easier mode to flash roms if you have the stick away of your computer.

    Requirement:
You need a microsd card where you copy the zip for your specific device. The microsd must have at least 500mb of free space after you copy the zip to the device, because 500Mb of this microsd is needed in the flash process.
I suggest you to make a cwm backup of your current rom before flash the new rom, if something goes bad you can return to the original state without problems.
From cwm we cant resize partitions, so if you come from stock rom, i suggest you the first time use a windows pc to flash so you can use the advantage of a great data partition with more space to install aplications, the 512Mb for apk who comes with the stock rom is very low in my opinion, so 2Gb for our apks is a great advantage. So first time you install a Bob finless rom is better to do it from a windows pc.

Today the first devices are mk808(rk901) original and mk808b(rk903) original, each device have 2 roms available 720p and 1080p. Both use the original kernels that comes with Finless roms. The 1080p kernels i will use are patched by Bob from the original one, except the mk808(rk901) who was patched by Dero, thanks to him too. Bob has a thread explaining about patch kernels to get 1080p.

mk808(rk901) "original" 1.7c Rom made by Bob Finless:

    720p:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...183fef76f14fe6
    1080p:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...847a9b060fb5d7

mk808b(rk903) "original" 1.7 Rom made by Bob Finless:
    720p:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...cb49fa390c88ff
    1080p:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...68b1b1bff0fdbd

Now time for other 2 roms sunvel mk808b clone and clonev1, i cant test them cause I dont have those devices, if you use them please report if it works:
mk808b sunvel clone NOT TESTED YET:
    720p:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...9776379a55b261
If you want 1080p kernel in this device, then after flash the 720p version you need to flash this:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...7aa72e64b321d4 this change the kernel and the boot image.

mk808b clone v1 NOT TESTED YET:
    720p:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...052b155e1e45be
Bob didn't patch this device to 1080p yet.

The new 4.2 Roms have different partitions size, and the new kernels are so big to fit in the old 4.1 system partition, so we cant flash the new 2.1 roms using cwm.
The new quads have not their specific images uploaded to androtab, when we get funtional recovery for the new quads devices i will make the flashable zips for them.

      Thanks to leolas & Finless

Had so much pain trying to install 1.7a yesterday just could not get the MX2 to boot into flash mode always ended up with Android on he's back leg up not happy Jandriod.(Maybe they are starting to lock Flash Mode). Then along came CWM and saved to day which is what I'm used to using.

So I install 1.7a with CWM everything worked straight up.
Wifi is better now 4 bars. Not 2 or maybe if lucky 3
init.d had a look at the folder and it was empty?

So how doe's the storage work with extSDcard because my Internal memory is 1.97gb with would be right as my 8gb class 10 is formated to ext3 1gb & 256mb swap which would bring up the internal storage from 1gb to almost 2gb but the init.d is empty no 40int2ext or anything else..??? Or am I look at this the wrong way..

Would like to install the Adrenaline Engine into this Rom also dsp manager which I will do manually .Any Jelly bean version of dsp should ok ???

The Rom seemed to be a bit sluggish at first but the more I use it the faster it runs..(This is not the first time I have seen this with a Rom before.)

      Thanks some much Again...

That can be cool, i think i will not have problems with mk808 devices and with all those clones cause i think i can boot well with their kernels, but other rk3066 devices can be more problematic, i will try to test every zips i made, but with some of them i will require your help to test.

init.d is empty waiting for your files, if you need them, like install some driver, modify something after boot procces, run services, etc... you only need to add the script, and give the correct permission. I cant tell about dsp or adrenaline engine cause i dont test it, but once you have your system working and with cwm installed is very easy to make a cwm backup before test all those things, if something goes wrong you can restore your backup in some minutes.
And pls if you find some useful addons for our devices come and share it with us, no time to test more things actually cause i have so many projects open at same time.

And yes first boot on every android roms are a little "lagged"? i don't know exactly the word in english, but after first reboot all goes smooth and really fast.

I would like to stress the point that the absolute A number one first thing to consider, when any app crashes, is NOT to blame it on a kernel or ROM like I did, but *FIRST* consider that it is the power supply. Sounds absurd, but there are multiple pieces of pure hard in your face evidence, from Leolas and from myself and others, that the power supply of many of these gadgets are inadequate. It appears that when the gadgets jumps to some sort of mode, or start to work hard in multiple thread or puts the GPU at hard work, that then there is a sudden power surge that the power supply can not handle. The voltage briefly collapses, enough to make it crash, freeze, or reboot. Consistently. It's not a bad kernel, it's not a bad ROM, it's not a bad app, it's the darn power supply. I had it unstable with the stock ROM, Finless 1.7 and Finless 1.6a and I thought WTF! I went out got the Sony PS Vita power supply, and dagnammit, the problem went away! Before it wouldn't make it through Antutu benchmark, KFS benchmark, and a few Super PI benchmark apps I've tried. Now, none of those crash any longer! I'm seeing multiple messages throughout the recent history in multiple forums where people mention stability.... well, it may well be that the vast majority of all that is all to be blamed on that darn weak little power supply... Please help spread the word when you encounter this issue elsewhere! This stupid little "bug" is spoiling the excitement I think. Who knows how many people gave up on this...

After installing 1.7a with CWM and the zip method.I found that I could no longer use the update.img to reinstall the stock rom.Tried every method to go back to stock and every time all I would get is error messages with any .img file,it just would not let me reinstall stock rom.My MX2 came with iMito_MX1_V411_130204 pre installed..
So the only way I could install Stock rom again was to make a new CWM_ROM_zip.zip with all the stock rom .img files and the CWM recovery.img.And it worked a treat back to Stock.

Once you flash CWM recovery, correct! You cannot then flash the stock ROM update.img.
The stock recovery and CWM recovery are not file compatible.

Yep thats right Bob but who cares CWM can reinstall stock or modded roms.Just rooted my stock rom with out using a computer, and I hope you don't mind I took a copy of the Reboot_v0.9.1.apk from your 1.7a rom and installed it to my Stock.

I would like to install your 1080p kernel into my stock rom but I only would like a straight 1080p kernel is the one from your 1.5 less modded than from 1.7a??? All I would like is 1080

                Thanks Bob

                    Thanks so much

Yesterday I flash your 1080p kernel from your 1.7a.But was still had 720p should have read your post. You need the boot.img as well open your eyes.

Have just reflash with the boot.img and Kernel.img and now have 1080p...

Now we have CWM do you think it will be possible to make the roms more like mobile phone roms and install with unpacked files inside folders instead of image files it would make it easier to mod the roms..??

Thanks again to you and all the Mods...

Many thanks, no need for a windows box now! Only slight issue was I needed to plug in a regular USB keyboard because CWM didn't see my wireless one.

                        Thanks so much, totally awesome!!!

I have given up on rom modding with the MX2 for now anyways.

I just downloaded the file on a flaky connection and I am not sure the file is OK. The file's MD5 hash doesn't match its number above.
