    Newsmy T3 RileyROM 1.0

I received a request for a Rooted ROM for this tablet. I really don't know much about it, but...here is a ROM for it:

No bells or whistles...just root, init.d support, Google Play Store fix, 2gb user app space, ext4 system.

    Everything else is stock.

    Enjoy

        Hi Randy
Think iv'e bricked it, It went through the full procedure ok, then nothing, no reboot at the end, didn't restart only black screen, followed the readme. Got a reset pin hole on the back, pressing this with usb lead connected gives "USB Device, not recognized, One of the USB devices on this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it" ( Running Win7 32bit) I can still connect with my u30gt-h.

How long did you wait for the screen to pop up? The first boot should take a while.

I stripped out the stock boot animation, but you should see a generic android screen.

I'm pretty sure I sent you the correct flashing tool. It was for another 29xx rom I did. I'll do some checking.

Update, just got USB to recognize the Rom flash tool again but not sure about using the same settings again which I followed in your readme.
Yes it does have vol buttons, thinks thats why it connected again to USB
If you are not sure I may try using the rk29 batch tool to reflash orig F/W

I'm sorry, that readme was specific to the previous tablet.

The first file that it reads is the recovery.img. Let me send you the stock recovery to replace. I'll also send you the stock boot.img to flash to troubleshoot.

                Stay tuned.

I'm uploading a new kit with all of the stock files. You can interchange the files to troubleshoot for me.

First check recovery. That might be the problem. Then check boot, if recovery didn't fix the problem.

The root is in the system, so only change that as a last resort.

My system has everything in English.

You can take this up again later if you wish. I'll send the link when my Dropbox gets done updating.

OK, this is a copy of the stock firmware, unpacked into a ROM kit.

You can actually flash this ROM as is, but it is stock only. Exactly the same as your update.img.

Like I said, you can interchange the files in the RileyROM folder with the ones in my ROM kit. I'm thinking that recovery.img or boot.img will fix the problem.

I do have one more file I can share, which is the rooted version of the stock system.img before I created the ext4 file system and expanded the file size to add more system apps.

You can just copy this in with the stock kit and rename the system.img to stocksystem.img and unzip and rename this file system.img. This will give you a rooted stock kit without init.d support (if you really needed that, anyway)

The parameter file in my ROM has been changed to allow for the larger system.img and 2gb user app space, the parameter file in the stock kit is for only the stock files and the default user app space.

So now you have some choices to try. Hopefully you can troubleshoot the problem from here.

This is what I typically do when I have a tablet to test on...but you will serve as the tester on this one, if you don't mind playing around with it.

                        Hi
                        Another day with Update.
Really appreciate your time spent on this, Loaded T3 Stock rom and this works fine, no problems at all.
Copied recovery.img from stock to your original Rom Kit and same problem, no reboot at all, only black screen. Copied Boot.img from stock to your original Rom Kit same problem, no reboot at all, only black screen.
Renamed System.img.orig to System.img and placed in your first Rom kit folder, loaded ok but then sticks on 2nd small centered ‘ANDROID animated’ bootup screen.
ATM back with your stock rom image working fine.

Ok. It must be something I did in the system.img. I'm working until late tonight. I'll have to take a look tomorrow.

Let me think about this for a bit.

See if you can use the system.img.orig with the stock kit. Leave everything stock, except that file. It may be the parameter file that is causing the problem.
