- HDMI 2.0 (4k @60Hz over HDMI)
- Preferably good Linux support, specifically video decoding and hardware acceleration
- Cheap as possible without being poorly built
I was kind of looking at the Ugoos UM3 as a possibility. I've heard there are some issues with the RK3288 chipset and am not sure if there are others I should be considering though. The Ugoos UM3 has Linux images, but I read that hardware video acceleration isn't supported yet on the Linux side. Not sure if that's been solved yet or if a solution is imminent. A lot of the smaller sticks I see have reviews complaining about overheating or poor firmware and don't seem to have any Linux support.
Anyway, what all is there that meets my criteria? Either specific models or just chipsets in general. Thanks!
