RECOVERY FROM BOOT LOOP

Hi, i came back home and i found out that my mk808b ended in a boot loop. it was closed with the shutdown buton in the status bar but when i opened it the stars just kept going on and of in the boot screen.
NOW: The good part of the post comes:
i didnt want to lose my settings and apps and do a full rom flash so i thought of experimenting and well it went good. what i did was this:
1. Restarted many times the device by pluging, unpluging the power (no luck with that)
2. I connected to the pc with the otg port and i flashed the recovery-cwm.img file and rebooted (still no luck)
3. Reconnected to pc and flashed the boot.img and rebooted (still no luck with that)
4. Reconnected to pc and flashed the misc-boot-recovery.img and rebooted into cwm menu.
5. i wiped the cache partition and then the dalvik cache and then i did a fix permission and rebooted

After 1 minute the stars on the boot screen started to go on and off and then after 30 seconds i was on the lockscreen of my mk808b with the system as it was before.

The strange thing that makes me wonder is why it happened, as the device was turned off properly with the shutdown button. In the last days i have always done a check if any app was open in the background before turning it off while today i left some apps open in the background before turning it off. Maybe this is the cause of the problem. If anyone has an idea about this please share it.
