There is ubuntu port for s805 SoC but some developers have to adapt it to run on mk808b+

      Here is the link

I'm working on porting this right now. It's booting but I'm running into issues wireless and Bluetooth. Also my keyboard sometimes stops responding at the login screen. It's coming but it's just tough work

Thanks! I've got arch linux booting at the moment with ethernet support. I'd release it but I think without wifi or a GUI it'd be pretty useless for most users here

I would definitely use it so if it's ready to go (I don't need wifi or GUI) can I try it out?

Not all users need the gui....if you need a tester I would really like to help.....is it running on internal nand or external sd?

Sound promising! Could you share how you set it up with Arch Linux?

I've been trying to get the MK908ii (RK3188 Processor) to run a kernel > 3.0 for the past year and have given up. I need kernel > 3.8 to work with my USB device I'm building (FTDI chipset). The MK808B+ has the same form factor as the MK908 and would work great as a micro server for a bunch of maker projects where size is critical. If I can't make the wifi/bt work, I'd add a wifi USB dongle.

I'd be happy to help/test if you push to onto GitHub or the like.

Do keep up the great work!

                        Best
