i started with a modded rom from a finless custom rom for the ug007 II
its just a start.
here some screens how it looks for the moment.

the borders are blue now

p.s. see the new wiffi icon on the taskbar.

added youtube app,quickpic,modded services.jar,added init.d scripts.
and a fully working cwm recovery now.
the first time after flashing you have mount errors in cwm.
but after reboot its all ok. thats normal after a reflash.
this rom is faster now.

Cool! Been using the Finless MX1/2 1.7a 1080p ROM on my UG007II. Cant wait to test yours.

BTW just so you know there should be a custom (ROM+)kernel available soon from 2dark4u so we can overclock the UG007(II) and MX1/2 without loosing WIFI and BT. (along with other performance enhancements)

maybe i add supercharged too.

testing the rom now for the moment.
if it runs good i upload it in the weekend.

Been having a play for a few hours.

Very cool keyboard interface.

Like the original 1.7a ROm though, there are two apps that won't function correctly.

Planet rock loads and the main interface is fine but the audio button just spins around and won't play the live stream.

Are you using an Android tablet?

You need to change a setting in the web browser on your Android tablet to access BBC iPlayer.
Go to your web browser settings and disable the 'Request desktop site' option. We will then recognise your device and serve the tablet version of BBC iPlayer.
If you cannot find a 'Request desktop site' option, look for a setting called 'User Agent' and disable the 'Desktop' option.


I've done exactly what is suggested but it makes no difference.

I've also tried every browser and whilst on two occasions Firefox allowed streaming from with the browser, it was very hit and miss, with the same message being displayed more often than not.

Other than these things, I found the ROM very smooth, with wireless seemingly having improved performance.

its the same rom , i just added some speed tweaks,apps and changed the ui interface.
if you have a bug with the finless rom than its here to.

BBC iPlayer is a nightmare and just continually displaysYour device is not able to support BBC iPlayer.

The official BBC iPlayer app for Android is great, assuming your phone or tablet is on the list of approved devices. If it's not, you won't even be able to see the app in the Android Market, and the mobile web player will turn you away with an error message. Two devices which still aren't officially supported are theGalaxy Nexus and Nexus S (assuming you've got the ICS update), as the iPlayer currently rejects all Android 4.0 phones out of hand.
Never fear, though, because we've got a simple workaround that'll let you enjoy iPlayer content on both these devices with a minimal amount of fuss. Join us after the jump to find out how.

1. First, you'll want to install Adobe Flash Player from the Android Market. If you're using a Nexus S, you might already have it, but to find it simply search for "flash player" in the Market, or click here to view it in the Web Market.
2. Next, fire up the Android browser and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. From the menu, select "Request desktop site" if the box next to it isn't already checked.
3. In your Android browser, go to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer. This should now open up the iPlayer desktop site, and from there you'll be able to play radio content, along with live and recorded TV if you're in the UK.

So now you can enjoy all of the Beeb's content on your Android 4.0 device. Hooray! This method works by tricking the iPlayer site into thinking you're browsing on a desktop computer, bypassing the mobile site, which checks for specific versions of Android. As Android resets the "Request desktop site" option when the browser closes, you may need to repeat steps 2 and 3 each time you come back to the iPlayer site after having closed it.
Note: If you see a message saying "Your phone is not supported", make sure you've got the "Request desktop site" box ticked as outlined in step 2, then re-enter the URL in step 3 -- www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer.

Thanks for the information

That explains why it only seemed to work a few times but as you say, setting the option each time does make it work consistently.

iPlayer would seem to need a rethink as it works with so many devices well enough for the BBC not to be so restrictive.

can you make even a 720p version but with boot.img of "version a"? because with new wifi drivers of the boot720.img (version b) my external usb wifi dongle with leolas's 8712u.ko doesn't work. thank you and sorry for my poor english
