    - video playback using wasser lollipop roms is unbeatable..... add to it the late support for DTS and Dolby Digital via spdif passthrough...... (but got issues with kodi and spmc...)
    - ohc 1.03 is great (lesser video play quality when compared to wasser lollipop rom , and this specific version supports DTS and Dolby Digital in both mxplayer 1.7.40 and spmc 15....

since i'm into playing mkv files from external drives , with less interest in spmc or kodi , i prefer wasser LP roms (especially version 3.0.0 rc4) since it finally supports spdif passthrough, and the video playback is breath taking....

        Hey guys,

I have been reading up on the ROM developement threads here (Tronsmart and Beelink) but I'm still a newbie, and something isn't quite clear to me. Hopefully someone can help me out with some answers to my questions. I have a Tronsmart R28 Pro with 8gb internal memory. I read somewhere that Hisound's adaptation (спасибо man, been to Russia 3 times, have some Russian friends and glad to see you representing here with great contributions and attitude ) is only for 16gb and up versions. Would his rom adaptations still work on my device or not, and if so: what would be lost in terms of functionality? Could I flash the versions that I find linked in this thread, or would I have to make some adaptations to the procedure to account for the different internal memory? I also read somewhere that in general the Beelink roms are compatible with the Tronsmart devices, but there is an issue with the power button. What does this entail, I wouldn't be able to turn the device off by using the button? Sorry for the many questions, I hope someone will be able to help - if so thank you in advance !

look at the middle of the page titled : СКАЧАТЬ v1.03 ДЛЯ R89 (update_mod_ohc_v.1.03) (the best among hisound mod's and as far as i know it works also fine on your tronsmart R28)... and if you still got issues then try to use the files mentioned here on the first page...

I have a Tronsmart R28 Pro an I tried booth Firmwares.
On the OpenHour based Firmwares 3D works perfect, but I cant change the audio language on 3D .iso files and I cant disable subtitles.

On the Stage 3 Firmware does 3D dont work if I play a 3D iso File. My TV shows 3D but the cursor is big and the screen is black.

            What can I do?

I just installed OHC vs 1.0.3 with the intention to be able to use kodi/spmc with AC3 and DTS through SPDIF. However with SPMC 14.2 (that came with the ROM,). only DTS works fine, no AC3 at all. With MX PLAYER same situation: DTS ok but no AC3. With SPMC 15 again no AC3, but now only with mediacodec or software decoding I have something on screen. With RKlibstagefright, or libstagefright, I have blank screen( but sound is working (without AC3 of course)).
Is there anything else I can try?
The only combination that produce AC3 and DTS was with wasser lolipop and customized kodi-wasser-lolipop. But is this case a weird issue appear: Local files or DLNA files play ok, but video through video addons like 1channel, gave random HDMI refresh (for less than a seccond the image desincronize, like different resolution, than the screen is blank, then everything ok until next issue appear.)

I know, in theory it supports, but in reality, it does not.
