Date & Time not set on boot

I have it set to get date and time from the network, but it comes up in 1970!

That really messes up anything using SSL. Like my Tablo app!

I'm using Finless 2.1, is there a setting I need to change? Or a script I need, or an app?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rich.

    Hi,
Check your router... make sure to "allow NTP" under firewall rules / and see, if the router has the right time/date
If you installed.. a firewall on Android.. set allow network time protocol

    Goodluck

My ISP Acanac tells me their upstream - Bell - is blocking port 123 (needed by NTP) due to DoS attacks. There is currently no plan to un-block it.

Acanac has setup its own time server at 67.55.2.248 for use by its own clients.

I installed the free app ClockSync and gave it this IP for time server and set it to update when the CPU "wakes up" or any time the real/local time differs by more than 1 hour.

After a reboot it correct the time after a few seconds. Works for me!
