Faulty firmware or hardware
Two days ago I received my iMito QX1 and it is not working as it should be. I have installed the new stock firmware iMito_QX1_V422_130530 succesfully (see picture below ).
The device boots up correctly. After booting you have to choose the type of launcher. When I click on button Launcher the screen goes blank. OS is probably still running: the first time I booted the device, I could get into settings but the screen was blanking.
Tested the device with provided power unit and Mele Fly F10 air mouse
Also tested with another power unit (output +5V-5A) and regular mouse
Is this due to firmware or is it a hardware failure? My other iMito MX1 has also an issue but after a few emails with support of Geekbuying I got too annoyed and I was not bothered about a few euros that I have paid for the device to spent more time on solving it*.
* Before I get the question why I bought an iMito again:
- I did not expect another failing device and I still think it is coincidence
- build quality of the iMito looks good
- iMito is well supported by Fineless
