HPH LP v0.9 Beta by mo123

Firmware is based on Lollipop 5.1.1

    Working
    - HDMI sound
    - Ethernet
    - Wifi
    - Bluetooth
    - Rooted
    - Color Improvements
    - 4 GB App Space, apps can install correctly including SPMC/Kodi
    - Status bar
    - No Flickering
    - Youtube, ES File Manager, Chrome Browser

    Not working
    - TV Out
    - Remote
    - Still some other bugs

If you get a blank screen on first boot
Connect device to TV then disconnect power cord to device, reconnect now it will work correctly.

    Overall firmware works very well.

Load firmware with second tab in flash tool and then Upgrade.

        Thanks for the link.
Feature list says much indeed, but is it ok for everyday use (browsing, youtube, movies, games)?
If yes, I might try it and hopefully leave it installed, regardless of being a beta.

If you use eg. wifi and an airmouse it works great.
Web Browsing, Media Playback, Kodi, Gaming all work great.
TV Out(90% don't use it since it's connected to an HDTV) and LED light not working, IR Remote not working(if you use a TV Box an airmouse is a must and a great thing to have)

At the end of June there should be official LP firmware.
This is just for people to test out in the meantime, but can be used as your working OS since there are only small things still to be improved or fixed.

Can this beta be flashed the same way as v1.6 via recovery?
I'll probably loose all of my data this way, right? Especialy because of an entirely different build?
I don't have time to set up my system all over again, so I might wait end of June afterall for a final version.

Lollipop Recovery is different than KitKat Recovery. more partitions so it won't work.
You can also flash TWRP Lollipop Recovery but I haven't tried that yet.
You can then make backups and restore it with TWRP.
Since apps now also use ART, I think restoring KitKat backups that use dalvik won't work well.
Official firmware will be released in the next few days.

                      Try swapping files in /system/etc/firmware
Es File Manager, enable root explorer and hidden files
                      ANDROID_FW_PATH, "fw_RK903_ag.bin"); ANDROID_FW_PATH, "nvram_AP6330.txt"); to
                      ANDROID_FW_PATH, "fw_bcm4339a0_ag.bin"); ANDROID_FW_PATH, "nvram_AP6335.txt");
to trick the system into loading your AP6330 drivers which it thinks is AP6335

I can make a kernel but would wait until final Lollipop is released next week.

The same as for Kitkat firmware.
You can unpack in Windows or Linux.

Mo, I'm in the minority which often uses the TV-out, due to watching on my R89 in my bedroom where my TV is SD and has no HDMI (The baby would go into withdrawals without constant access to Mickey Mouse clubhouse!).

Wasser has TV out but no wifi (and some other stuff), you have the other stuff. Any chance you guys could collaborate a little and get a more functional ROM going?
Thanks for all your hard work!!

                              Cheers!
