    Rk3368 or rk3288

Hi, I would like to know,
Which one of this SoC is better the rk3368 or the rk3288?
I have a conflict over between them.
To buy a Android box, and I don't know which one of the boxes is better.
Or to buy box/stick with rk3288 and also which one of them is better.
My budget is around 85 dollars.
    Thanks.

Buy a Box with a RK3288. It is faster and the Roms are more Stable. For you Budget you should get a good RK3288 Box.

I could never get Dolby Digital passthrough via HDMI in Kodi working properly on my RK3288 boxes, Rockchip gets about 95% complete on there firmware and then just quits, leaving the customer with a device with limited capabilities. If you don't have a surround system, it doesn't matter, on the other hand, if you do, then get a box with the Amlogic SoC.

      just my 2 cents. I have/had a dozen different Android boxes/sticks.

I would also take a look at the MXIII-G S812 box - either the 1 or 2GB Ram model which has great reviews (63 at bottom of page) and is very competitively priced.

Geekbuying also have the 2GB MXIII Pro on special at the moment but you would need to look for some reviews before making a decision.

I would not read too much in to Antutu scores. For instance, my RK3288 gets well over 50000 in Antutu.
What your primary use is for a box, may determine what box is best for you. None are without issues.

If you are in the US the FireTV often goes on sale for less than the list price. If you are planning to use commercial services such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video or Hulu Plus at some stage, this is a good choice as it supports all of these services and many others at up to 4K. Most of the other android boxes will only support 480p resolutions.

Personally I would go for something cheap like the MXIII-G which gets good reviews and regular firmware updates. I have the older MXIII model (1GB/8GB) which I paid a lot more for and have been very happy with it. I don't think that I have ever experienced a crash while streaming, often for four or five hours at a go! The only negative is the lack of support for HD Netflix, Hulu Plus etc.

The guide is just to help you avoid a lemon or a box with no future support, not a product recommendation.
Yes, there are many options, most of us have been where you are.
Again, what your primary use for the device is, will help determine what device is best for your needs.

Do you already have an airmouse/keyboard and a suitable game controller or are you planning to fit those into your $85 budget? You won't be able to do much gaming with the included IR remote!
