Got to love their choice in heatsinks. I just wish they would ventilate their cases a bit. As usual though, nicely executed.

Im surprised theyve still kept the same design all of these years. I mean there have been a few changes to it such as external antenna and rubberized feet on the bottom and what not but as a whole it looks nearly identical from year to year. Would def be nice if the flagship could get an aluminum case and with an internal fan / vents. or something. I guess its really not just MINIX though cooling always seems to be the last thing on android tv boxes manufacturers mind yet no one ever does anything really stop it from gen to gen.

I have not seen this happen to me but it's probably how the box is detecting HDMI connection.

As of now while trying to root this box, I bricked it. Waiting for Ken from Minix to give me a full ROM package.
I screwed up a Selinux permission and cannot fix it via update.zip anymore.

Can produce some of the same issues mentioned on the S95 Telos.
Pop up Volume I find only appears on monitors as in computer more than TV's only every now and again.
Tested same files as mulderfox mentioned, the .TS Demo sounded fine through Sony amp.
Movie mentioned has the Clipping or clicks every 10 ~ 20 seconds.
Used HDMI pass through Kodi, to Sony amp to Sony 40in 1080 TV.
Tested a 27 GB True HD movie, all played fine no clipping noticed local via USB 3 stick and ethernet
Hard Disk Size thing is there also, using Paragon NTFS plugin and Total Commander is a solution if you need to browse for files. (you know that)

Today using optical cable to sound bar the clipping/clicks in files mentioned does not exist Tronsmart Vega S95 Telos.

Anyone noticed that pressing certain keys on keyboards like Logitch K400 acts as a back button? Ive noticied with the U and E keys so far and its very annoying -_- Same keyboard works fine on a PC

Yes I have noticed this!
You can recreate it.... Go to Google Play and click the search.
Try to type in a name with a space e.g. "adb wifi".
When you hit the space after typing adb it gives you a back mouse click and exits google play

Bad bug!

I do not have any of those problems and I am using a Logitech K400r keyboard. I am assuming that you are on the latest versions for both Google Play Services- 8.4.89 (2428711-234) and Play Store-6.0.5

Yep it made me update em before installing other apps so everything is up to date. Ive done some pretty good comparisons too between the U1 the s95 and the K1 and I will just say it now, the performance difference between the boxes certainly does not account for the premium MINIX is charging here in terms of pricing. Will post pictures, and video reviews in the next day or two for all to see first hand.

Great! Looking forward to your comparison review. MINIX premium is sort of for the continued support. The other vendors stop supporting the product a few months after release and then it is for the community developers to continue the support.

If you read down the page on the alibaba page, there are several references to S812, so I'd be surprised if it is actually S912.

Man this thread has become exceptionally hard to find with the changes to the forums lately! Hopefully the S912 comes sooner rather then later, I think everyone is waiting for a real flagship follow up to the S812 devices we saw from last year.
