[ROM] SC_V1.3C Custom Rom RKM MK68

Hi guys,

Well guys here is a rom for this very nice box!


Changelog:

V1.3C:

• Fixed USB HDD's/USB Stick's mounting points (you can use the MK68_Boot_Patch.zip to flash by TWRP(recovery) if you don't want to flash the whole rom!)

V1.3B:

• Updated Kodi to 16.0 Final with zidoo custom patches + mpeg1/2 fix + some from SPMC patches (4k GUI support etc...)!
• Updated the media libs to the latest ones.

V1.3

• Updated Kodi to Rk Kodi 16 RC4!
• Updated media library's ( some Tv provider apps work good now, youtube work better now but still not 100% )
• Updated gapps
• Updated kernel
• Some fixes(from RK) to the sdk for the audio(not tested i dont have a 5.1 or 7.1 sound system)
• To update the root(su) from 2.46 to 2.67 use the zip that i supply and apply by recovery(OPTIONAL)! Don't try to update by playstore it will fail..
• Other small fixes nothing special!

• Fixed Unified Storage.

V1.1

• Fixed external sdcard not working.
• "Fixed"? Passthrough AC3/DTS in Kodi (i don't have a way to test it.. and don't forget to enable 1º in android sound settings the Spdif Passthrough)

• Built from updated sdk.
• Unified Storage
• TWRP 2.8.7.0, it will be installed after first boot ( thks abdul_pt )
• ADB shell as root
• Rooted with SuperSU
• init.d support.
• Xbox360 support, wireless and cable (original or clone wifi dongle)
• Some apps installed, including my custom rockchip kodi 15.2 updated librtmp and cpu temp working.
• Added setup wizard.
• Simple launcher so use your favorite launcher....
• Updated kernel.

I also cleaned,updated and fix some things!

How to install:

• Power off your MK68
• Grab a paper clip insert in the reset hole in under the box. Press and hold the reset button now and insert the usb-a cable to the otg port(no need to use the power supply) . Your MK68 should appear as loader device.
• Choose your image(s), press restore.
• wait around 5/6 minutes the 1º boot (SO DON'T DESPAIR...)

Hello Seems to be nice. Do you think KODI would work using AC3/DTS hdmi ?

Try it i didn't test it, used a monitor to work on it but it should work just fine!

Hi,

So tonight i have test your rom, the following is not working :
1/ Unable to see my External SD CARD
2/ Passthrough AC3/DTS does not work with KODI

The only version that it works is KODI version 14.2.
This is a shame because the rom seems to be really fast.

Thanks for the ExtSDCard, for your information using RK3368 there is not so much KODI version that works.
Zidoo found a solution but it is modified "apk" does not work in our rom.

For your information i am using HDMI 2.0 to passthrough AC3/DTS.

Geekbox's source code is very behind other RK3368 boxes, that's why HD Audio doesn't work in latest RK Kodi 15.2

hmm is not that behind that i notice, but ye cant be enough behind on that matter!
I will check if i can find a more recent one! But for now i think is enough(i need to enjoy the box, and let the kids enjoy it) and like i said i don't have a way to test it!

Hi! I´ve installed this ROM but the memory limit in order to install applications remains active. Any idea to fix it?

memory limit? do you mean "unknown sources"?
Security tab in settings and enable "unknown sources" and voila

No. Sorry about my bad explanation. Unknown sources are enabled in my device. I mean that the storage is still divided in (as you can see in the attached image):

- Internal storage (2 GB)
- Nand flash (11 GB)

So, I can not install a big game. I see a message: "not enough space"

Thanks a lot again for your effort. There are more people with the same problem. The 2Gb partition remains.
