I had same problem with previous debloated version. Non debloated version works correctly.

This version I haven't tried yet.

But I catch information, that PIPO released new version today...

I see that Pipo has released new versions for both 3g and non 3g.

I'll concentrate on the non-3g ROM today and post a new one. We'll see if it fixes the Google Play Store problem. I may post here in increments, with varying levels of change so we can see if anything I'm doing breaks the ROM, or if it is a Pipo problem.

The first one I'll post is a rooted only version and we will go from there.

In the meantime, one thing to try...since my download is going slowly...try the non-3g kernel with the 3g ROM kit and see if it will boot.

There must have been something bad in that firmware for them to release a new one so fast. That's the likely culprit.

I wish I had an M9 to test on...it would make it a lot easier. I can flash this ROM on my M8Pro, but anything that requires wifi I can't test.

OK folks, help me out here. While I've been waiting for this new firmware to download, I've been thinking.

There are 3 versions of the M9 that I know of. Old pcb, New pcb with and without 3G. It takes about 1-2 hours for me to download the file for each.

So, any suggestions on which model should be the priority? Does anyone even have an old pcb tablet? Does anyone even have a 3G?

Clearly, since Pipo is releasing separate firmware for each, they aren't compatible.

So, I'm thinking now I will concentrate on the new pcb without 3g as the priority and add the other two later as options.

Any thoughts?

OK, I'm uploading the 1.5 version. Ready for testing. If it works, I'll make a new thread.

While I'm waiting, I thought I would mention a thread about getting Netflix working on 4.2.2 ROM's:

From what I've read new PCB No-3G is the most common.

I'm not sure if I'll install 1.5 as I'm back on the other rom (not sure if I can mention the website) and have set it up.

I really wish Pipo released change-logs with their updates

A cheap usb ethernet adapter might help with getting a network connection for testing; last I saw they were a few dollars from China.

I have added root, busybox support, init.d support, CWM Recovery and the usual fixes to Google Play Store. Please test for me and let me know if it is done enough to make a new thread.

Please don't give up too quickly. If this one works I'm sure its as good as the other Guy's.

It is OK to mention the other site here. We aren't that picky. I talk on the other sites too occasionally...especially about these Pipo's.

Flashing 1.5 to Pipo m9 1.2 no 3g went ok, but...
at 1st boot after Default Activity wizard I got an error:
"Unfortunately launcher has stopped" and can't continue, so maybe you debloat too strongly?

Sorry for the inconvenience, that one was totally MY BAD.

I forgot that in my kitchen script, I had my customized Launcher2.apk automatically copying over...but it was for 4.1.1 not 4.2.2...hence the error.

I went in and replaced the stock launcher app and tested it on my M8 and it boots all the way without errors.

I uploaded the ROM again:

Flashing Pipo m9 1.2 no-3G to 1.5 ROM went OK.
Wifi and Play Store working well.
I continue testing...
