    CD/DVD

Hola leolas, espero en Dios que estés bien y pueda tu papa superar esa mala experiencia y no queden secuelas graves...apenas tengas oportunidad puedes revisar esto?

Is there any chance to implement a ISO9660/Joliet CD/DVD driver support in Bob's kernels? Or a way to activate the module trough init.ro?

Some guys from xda have managed doing it, one for the Asus transformer and one for the galaxy s3. I am not an android developer enough to do this.... You know I have a collection of about 600 DVDs (4 to 6 divx/xvids/mkvs in each one) and if I should turn my PC on in order to share the DVDs content then I'm missing the "autonomy" of my mk808b... I know, the best way is with a HDD, but what to do if I already have those HD mkvs burned on DVDs?

Well, these are a couple of kernels with ISO9606 /Joliet support:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1929126 this one have github an modules listed

I really appreciate if you at least consider to take a like look at this...

Best regards and best wishes to your dad...

            Thanks for your help leolas.

But I'm having a hard time here trying to mount my external dvd drive. This is what I've done:

            1. Tried insmod but didn't work for udf.ko
            2. pushed isofs.ko and udf.ko from f's folder to /system/lib/modules (644)
            3. Rebooted
            4. Hooked up my powered hub and connected the dvd drive (OTG and usb)
            5. Created /Removable/Opticaldrive (644 both)
            6. Tried:
            su
            mount -t iso9660 /dev/block/sr0 /Removable/Opticaldrive
And udf instead of iso9660 even busybox mount -t....

Alway got errors like: no such file or directory, no such a device, can't read '/etc/fstab'...

I'm on stock 4.2.2 (latest) ROM, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks. We are in hospital with him yet, but next week we hope leave hospital, and we will go to his town, to an ancients residents center. So next week I will stay full time out of pc, this last week I stayed a little time in home, and made some advances in my qx1 kernel, but no time to compile drivers. I will tell you here when I got some time to compile drivers.

                    hello leolas

hope your father gets home soon and recovers quick.

whenever you have time to help the community, please look into this for me
in reference to the following post:

i have tried to compile a module by myself but have had no success.

                    1 What is your stick?:
                    mk808b
                    2 What is your rom?:

                    i would probably be using v2.2.3 720p.
                    3 What is your kernel?:
same as above (currently have 3.0.8+)
4 Id of the device you want the drivers been compiled and the commercial name.
5 Main chipset of the device:
rt5370 but i would probably be buying rtl8191
6 Link to the driver that comes with the device (if you have it):

                    or off my cd: http://d-h.st/npf

thing is that i bought 6 of these mk808b for family members.
i need to get them all working properly when it comes to the internet connection.
i have purchased rt5370 chipset adapter(for which i could not compile a module) that can be used with 1 stick.
therefore, i would be making a purchase of 5 usb wifi adapters of the same chipset(probably rtl8191 300mbps) for other 5 sticks.

if you can please compile a module for rtl8191 and rt5370.

                    thanks.

                      Hi Leolas,

I flashed your CWM version of finless 1.7, do you have by chance compiled isofs.ko, udf.ko and crc-itu-t.ko for the kernel that comes with that ROM (guess 3.0.8) obviously rk3066?

I have a Slim DVD LG rewriter GP08NU6B and an ample collection of mkvs and avis burned on DVDs, but I haven't managed to mount this drive despite searching and searching, I don't know if it needs specific drivers, but in LG's website there isn't drivers even for Windows... But it seems to work fine on Linux: http://linuxhcl.com/browse/product?id=7881

Somebody made a good tool for mounting optical drives for the Toshiba Thrive tablet*here:

I managed to get the drivers for the eGalax touchscreen from the manufacturer.
In the zip file you can find all info on what has to be included.

                                Thank you in advance.
