OK, here is the repacks of both the February firmware and the April firmware:

    February:

    Download

    April:

    Download

Try each one...hopefully one of them will work.

Be careful with restoring backups from Titanium, on the U1 ROM, just copying over some system apps causes problems.

      Tested

I have been using the repack April firmware for a few hours and everything is working like it should be. Wifi, bluetooth & hotspot working just fine. Nicely done Randy.

My suggestion for version 1.1 is to have mod based on SGS II as well as add permission files for improved market.

Pipo M8 Max 3066 RileyROM 1.0 (both wifi and 3g)

I already added those features. Are there apps missing from Play Store?

Does your 3G connection work as it should?
WhatsApp has been difficult to get to work on many tablets lately. If you want to sideload it - you can download the latest version of WhatsApp (as of post date) here: http://bitshare.com/files/8i34mxf5/w...0.762.apk.html

Yeah it working normally but I don't know why it keep on getting Edge network (sometimes but not always 3g) even though clearly my area included in 3g coverage (proven with my phone with excellent strength).
                Anyway, thanks for the link.

Not easy to say. There are /many/ factors playing in. But the fact that you DO get 3G and Edge - means its working. I suggest you try Settings > More... > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Select manually - and try to set your operator and band manually. It could be a signal strength conflict.

Be noted; If you do this and it works for you - once you go somewhere where the selected network does not have coverage, the tablet will NOT automatically connect to some other band or network.

I tried that method before but I can't differentiate which network is 3g or E since they all are using some sort of codes like 40445, 40444 etc. I tried each one but to no avail.

Are you sure we can set any frequency band as we like and how?

I am very certain you can NOT set any frequency band you like. Just the ones supported by the 3g module and antenna in your tablet.

Why don't you post us a screenshot in portrait mode, of the list you get when you go to "Select manually" and it is finished searching. Also include what operator your sim is for - and if its a 3rd party service provider that can connect to several networks, inlcude wich ones.

This is it. As you can see all using some codes which I don't know what they are stand for. I'm using Airtel 3g network which can only connect to its own network I think. I can only connect to 40445 which I tried both but the same result.

If you can connect to both, one of them should be the 3G one (and the other 2g (edge)). Sadly, with the list looking like this - there's no real way to tell for sure - I'm not certain if the order they're displayed in, is constant between searches. To be honest, I doubt it.

Have you tried testing the tablet at a few different locations, to see if you're experiencing different coverage behaviour? It could simply be the antenna in the tablet is not quite up to the task as good as your phone... If you wanted, you could open up the back and check the wiring for the antenna. (I read a few report where it was very badly soldered, one where it wasn't soldered on at all). With the mainboard facing away from you - the 3g module and its connections should be the one at the bottom right of the board, and I think the corresponding antenna should be furthest towards the bottom of the tablet (with wifi antenna approx in the middle, along the right edge with the tablet screen down, top of tablet away from you).

I have already connected to both but still the signal showing I'm connecting to 2g network.
I tried in two different locations, at home and the hospital but both the same results. Only occasionally my tablet can connect to 3g.
So most probably the problem here is with the antenna itself as you mentioned before. I will try to open up the back and check the wiring but maybe after some time as I'm going to be busy from today onwards.
                            Thanks for the instructions though.

Thanks for the update. I'll double check, but I think I added that to the ROM.

Follow the download link below to the download page which will give you a choice of downloading the ROM for the wifi only version or the 3g version.

I did not include CWM support for these ROM's, but as soon as I can port CWM to this tablet, I will either post it, or put out a new version of the kit.

                                This ROM is:
                                Rooted
                                Debloated
                                Ext4 file system
                                Init.d Support
                                Busybox links added
                                Google Play Store fixes added
2, 4, 6, or 8 gb user app space (your choice)

Please read the Readme file before flashing, it will explain how to choose user app space, answer many questions you might have. Otherwise, post here.
