For comparison rk3188 and rk3288 results I can already provide.
EDIT: only 1G RAM, 8G ROM
Dual-boot firmware was made for 16GB devices so for 8GB devices it will not have enough space to work and flashing will fail.
For me Lubuntu V151221 also had no USB ports working, but I changed it for HPH to make the USB ports work.

So is there a way ( e.g. using https://github.com/geekboxzone/util somehow ?) to unpack only linux part from your HPH ROM dual boot and repack it back to be able to flash it into my device please ?
I was able to compile kernels for rk3188 and rk3288 but none of my experiments actually worked, so I used images available around the net.
Please kindly point me in the right direction.
Thank you.

System takes about 1-1.5GB, the rest of the images about another 500MB.
Then you must change userdata partition to 1 or 2GB in the parameter file so everything fits on your device and flash the unpacked images separately of my firmware and my linuxroot.img, ramfs.img together with your resource.img.
I'm not sure it's going to work but you can try.
You use the last tab of AndroidTool v2.35 to unpack into separate images.

Although there seem to be connection points on my PCB, Artway has no SD card reader available. But I was able to boot rk3188 and rk3288 devices from SD, so it shall be solvable.
I tried "lubuntu-aarch64.zip", Artway X6 boots up,USB wireless mouse and keyboard work, but no network. I'll try usb-eth converter, but in the meantime -
any idea how to extract eth and wifi kernel drivers from my device's original image please ?
I am sorry for my English, I did not get what exactly shall I try, mo123,
I was able to unpack HPH image and lubuntu image thinking I can exchange linuxroot parts. But android tool 2.35 does not recognize a device to flash. Only batchTool 1.8 seems to be working with my windows 10 x64.
Is there a way to repack img parts back to one big IMG please ?
Thanks a lot for your time.

But I have to get an SD-Card and need time for testing(which I don't have a lot off).
Also Mac_L1 first needs to get Kodi running on ARM64 Linux.

You need AndroidTool v2.35 to flash as it's more stable and can flash single images. The batchtool v1.8 is not good for flashing big images and dual-boot.
There are guides for Linux to repack all the images.

There is an option to root or unroot.
It can also be possible that the app you use checks for eg. supersu.apk that is used to root even if it's not rooted.
You can try to download a root checker app from the Play Store to check if there are any instance that make it think it's rooted.
There is also an app called RootCloak or something that can trick apps into thinking there is no root or hide root status if not even rooted that apps might check for.
I can also release a ROM without any superuser.apk for testing, I'll see if I can do that if above doesn't help.

Just get a wifi airmouse or bluetooth airmouse/keyboard or USB mouse/keyboard to work as the IR Remote might not work from your device and might be different.
Also try to get the stock firmware from your device or manufacturer so if it doesn't work or you want to go back you can flash your device back with it's original software.
