How to get M8s+ firmware running on M8s

i installed the FW succesfully and rc&eth working also.
BUT the FW is very buggy. my box collapsed, LED goes red, booting no more.

No sorry can't connect through otg cable as mine doesn't support it. Any firmware that support sd card method?

I'm stuck on the same situation.

Your firmware is a .img format, which means we should use Amlogic USB Burning Tool.

Once I connect a USB cable, from my Win7 PC to M8S, it lights up and start booting (without power cord plugged in!). Is it supposed to happen?

Even if I toothpick the reset button and attach USB cable only (not power cord), it boots in recovery mode but USB Burning Tool won't detect it.

Maybe, if you describe me how you've done to flash yours... because I have no clue about its outputs and behaviour on the process.

Remember, it is the PCB CS 812 M8 box and I went to some "how-tos" (Freaktab, ChinaGadgets), with no luck.

Hier is the way i followed for flashing my box:
-Install USB Burning Tool v2.0.6.2
( http://androidpcreview.com/wp-conten...6.2_build2.rar )
-Open the tool and import image
-Put usb cable (male to male) USB port of your pc
-Insert the pin or toothpick into the port until you feel a button you can press. (you dont need external power)
-Keep pressing and Put the usb cable in the second usb port from the right conrner (next to hdmi port) and wait till you see that your box is connected.
(if your box does not connect your box has an another problem)
-After your box connected check "Erase flash (normal erase) and "Erase bootloader" and Click "Start"
-Wait till the process suceesed and read notice 5 and 6 berfore pull out your box.

Your instructions worked fine for me, specially about the minimal details.

I didn't proceed uploading the new ROM because the box is working fine. So I don't want to mess with it, with no need.

This firmware for Matricom G-Box Q can be used on AP6330 S812 M8S & S802 M8N, remote and ethernet works just fine. Install via TWRP.

I have the M8S S812 AP 6330 box. I have TWRP installed as recovery. How do I install this using TWRP? the link seems to have the files for SD install rather than a zip for install using TWRP

M8S is working smooth with this firrmware (M8S(n200c)_to_M8S+ 5.1 20151022-aml_upgrade_package) only no wifi and no remote seems that only 2 of the 4 cores from the cpu are working
Cant get it into recovery whith sd card method

Someone working on this rom ??

May I know what wi-fi chipset are you having?
Did you try the M8S+ recovery?
If not mistaken Recovery IMG come in 2 type for NAND or EMMC.
You rename the either one to recovery.img and use sdcard method to test it.

If that is working, I think it is possible to
make a flashable the WiFi driver and remote to fix the problem.

i have flashed my M8s (n200c with AP6330 WIFI Module PCB: CS 812M8 v1.3) with the M8S+ Lollipop 5.1.1 image.
my box runs well with this image but without ethernet.
i am still working on it. if you like to try do it and support my work with your advices.

I tried two different img files for m8s + but it gets error message in usb burning tool, probobly because of bad rom/firmware

I need proper firmware or rom for this box. If you have one please send me the links.
