    Android Marshmallow on RK3368 -> BOX64_v170117

    Long time ago .. but there are new sources on github. (V161116)
    Time for a quick release ..

    Due to the new Loader v2.54 we have an initial Update.IMG release - to be installed via rockchip tools.

    The Update.zip will come later .. if required at all.


    Update.IMG_Marshmallow_BOX64_v170117.7z

    - Pre-Rooted (SuperSU-v2.76)

    - Google Play Services pre-installed (open_gapps-arm64-6.0-pico-20161118.zip)

    - Xposed Framework pre-installed (xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64.zip)
    - Added XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk (as preinstalled user application)

    - Automatic TWRP custom recovery installation on first boot !
    - TWRP_3.0.2-1_RK3368_V160622.zip

    - Added TWRP Manager (as preinstalled user application) - can be used for rebooting to recovery / loader / system.
    - Added 3C Toolbox (as preinstalled user application)
    - Added DRM Info (as preinstalled user application)
    - Added TerminalEmulator (as preinstalled user application)
    - Added TotalCommander (as preinstalled user application)
    - Added MiXplorer (as preinstalled user application)
    - Added Chrome (as preinstalled user application)
    - Added Paragon (as preinstalled user application)

    - Added Kodi 17 RC3 (ARM64)

    - Changed bootanimation (default mmallow)

    - Removed RKUpdateService

    - Added Status bar to BOX64 version

    - Added Navigation bar to BOX64 version


    And here is the new dualOS version for Android M ...

    This Update.IMG firmware release is using Rockchip Loader Version 2.54 !
    Only as Update.IMG available.

    The Linux part is the latest Geekbox Lubuntu rootfs.img. (V160309)

    Fixed the dual boot issue, as it´s not a dualOS release.

    If you want different Linux versions .. Pls have a look here ..

    The Update.zip are supposed for TWRP installation.
    The other zips are for rockchip flash tools .. just reflash the "linuxroot" partition.

    Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

        Let me know when its finished being compiled. I loved the demo worked great for me even with the flaws

              No .. I am compiling it - Not geekbox
              They have uploaded the sources for now.

              Hopefully they compile it too, and make a release.

              system is ready compiled .. but there are so some issues.
              missing files on Android start ..

                Ok Sorry thought that was them with code response. Let me know if you want anything tested.

                      The new Android M and L sources have been arrived a few days ago

                      There are still some issues, but network is working fine now.

                      Here is the first quick-release with the new sources .. it´s quite fast and stable.
                      Some suff is missing, like reboot and power off menu.
                      It´s a "tablet" version -> 64Bit.

                      The new Android M "BOX" version is not ready yet .. not sure if I will release it at all.
                      The default launcher of the BOX version is very buggy and ugly too

                      For this release I have ported one app from the BOX version.
                      The new "RK GameController setting app" .. sounds interessting.
                      it´s preinstalled for you .. but it has not been tested by me.

                      Due to the new Loader v2.53 this is an Update.IMG release only - to be installed via rockchip tools.
                      Of course, dualOS releases will follow as well ..

                      Ugoos player will be replaced by the new Rockchip Kodi (RKMC) - as soon we with the new APK.
                      But it´s running very well on M now .. 4k is not good as on ugoos firmware, but ugoos firmware is boring and old Android L. :lol:

                      Android M is the future of Geekbox !

                          Sd crashes if try to set up for storage. Video overlay issues. Open es task manager it flios screen and leaves it small in center of screen. Can pick and get confirm for any résolution. Antutu 26000. So bit better then last one. Apps display example kodi not responding wait or close. Root boot crashes system? Hangs think maybe root goofy? Trying reboot to linux next. Wifi seems slow.

                            Set up needs keyboard as no keyboard selected as default.

                              Kodi is hanging for you ?
                              Watched some movies on Ugoos kodi .. was quite ok.
                              No crashes.

                              Did you flash complete image or did you extract some parts ?

                              Which Linux ?
                              Are you able to boot your Linux Kernel ?
                              Does it hang on boot ?

                              Root Boot Crash .. please explain again.
