    Easier way

Also, it blows the air out, not towards the stick, allowing the air to leave the case and cool the dongle. I use no additional heatsink. That way, I didn't have to cut the plastic cover as it's already got small holes to let the hot air out. The result is more than satisfactory, at least in my case. Cheers, G

The solutions above are excellent. But may I humbly suggest that you simply cut the plastic grill out of the cover case thus exposing the factory heat sink to more air. I did this one thing and it works. Easier and simpler, plus you still get option of adding fan later if this is not enough. An article I read a long time ago (before some of you were born, lol) said a screen on a window cuts air flow 40 percent. I suspect same happening here.
And my two cents--it is more fun to buy Chinese junk and fix problems than overpay for perfect.

      1. Some of the reboot/heat problems are NOT a result of poor heat dispersion. Bad power (DC leak under high load) or bad cable is the first thing you should troubleshoot if you are on stock/nonOC ROMs.
      2. My T428 was overheating when overclocked to the point of stuttering and then freezing. I opened the plastic case, tied an old motherboard chipset heat sink, and now I can overclock it to the max with no problem. The sink is about 4*3*3cm, and while it get warm, it never gets too hot. Under a stress test (streaming a fullHD movie with DicePlayer) it managed to play without a problem for a few hours I cared to wait for it.

Do I consider this acceptable for a finished product? No, but I don't care that much. I got it to work and I am sure it will only get better in the future. The only one losing is the manufacturer: I have a few friends who rely on my opinion when it comes to all things digital. This product is not ready for the casual buyer, hence, they are not shopping.

Last but not least, a big thank you to all the contributors. My t428 has developed a lot in the past weeks.

PS: Pic of the naked t428 with the heatsink strapped on it. Not the most elegant solution, but I needed to try it out before getting a small box for it.
