Rockchip has gone Mainline Kernel . Official Kodi should work better than Depricated Abandoned FTMC.

Hardware acceleration will work on that chip.

Should work BUT s912 chip is not part of future development due to Amlogic not releasing fbdev Mali libraries and has no plans to release them.

well is discontinued because of my lack of time to do the necessary changes to add the support newer addons... that is why i added the code to bitbucked to see if anyone continues the work...
But looks like no one cared in continue, so time to move on!

Have been using the excellent FTMC on my ancient (Android 4.4.4) MXQ and MXQ 4K boxes for many months now. Lately, on start up I've been getting an error message about 'requests' being incompatible. And it won't seem to update to the latest version. All to do with dependencies I think - and by installing all of the below (using 'install from zip file' in Settings/Addons) the problem appears to be cured. Worked for me anyway!

MVR9 has auto frame-rate switching, 10-bit H264, VC-1 support and LibreELEC which others don't have apart from Rock64 which is a development board.
I don't know a lot about Amlogic devices, but avoid any cheap 'ship and forget' devices if video playback is important.

Im trying to install the files you suggested but I can't install them. Im getting "dependency in python version 2.25.0 not met". How did you install these files?

Hi... Should have mentioned you need to install this first:-

https://ftp.acc.umu.se/mirror/addons.superrepo.org/v7/addons/xbmc.python/xbmc.python-2.25.0.zip

Download, then use install from Zip files...

Then you can install all those others!
