    Is your stick running too hot underclocked/undervolting kernels is here

    before I start just let me tell you that you are doing this at your own risk

    here is my underclocked and undervolted kernels for the MK802-IV or UG007B or QC802 or cozyswan s400 as I believe the are all the same internally

    For this kernel to work you must have a rom that does not have the kernel in the boot partition I recommend this one as it works perfectly http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...loudnet-Go-CR9 just replace the kernel with mine

    this is for those people that want to cool their device down without modding it ,and for those people that want to run their android stick and power it using the usb port on their tv. This may not work it depends on the quality of your cpu

    kernel source https://github.com/aloksinha2001/Linux3188
    thanks go to Andy from rikomagic for the source

    underclocking and undervolted available kernels here are
    1.6ghz gpu 400mhz ram 800mhz
    1.4ghz gpu 600mhz ram 800mhz
    1.2ghz gpu 400mhz ram 800mhz this should run from the usb socket on your tv to power it
    all kernels in one RAR they are all 720p download here http://www.cloudstor.es/file/m1_MzQxNA/ alternate link https://rapidshare.com/files/4022694653/underclock.rar

    requested kernels
    1.2ghz gpu 600mhz ram 1200mhz 720p
    download here https://rapidshare.com/files/1963219...z%20kernel.rar
    1.2ghz gpu 600mhz ram 1200mhz 1080p
    download here https://rapidshare.com/files/6808712...z%20kernel.rar

      Hey Sam, can you do something like underclocked CPU and onverclocked RAM? Something like 1.2/1.4ghz cpu and 1400mhz ram. I don't think ram will emit too much heat at all. Thanks

        yes it is possible, just tell me how fast you want the cpu gpu and ram to run

          CPU = 1.2ghz
          GPU = 600mhz
          RAM = 1200mhz
          kernel 1080p

          Cheers!

              lovely! you're the best man. I have tried 1080p, and still works great. Catapult king still runs very smoothly. Bootup times has improved (must be the ram tweak). And the good thing is, it's not that hot anymore after hd movies and 3d games test runs.

                Is there an how-to install for dummies?

                  1 - Download Finless Rom Flash Tool and the kernel you want to flash

                  2 - Press the flash button on your device and while pressing connect your device
                  to one of your pc usb ports using the OTG micro / mini usb port on the device

                  3 - If you still haven't, download and install the proper drives for your device and OS you use on your pc

                  4 - Open Finless Rom Flash Tool, if the drivers where installed correctly it should say on
                  the bottom of the screen "Found RKAndroid rock usb", unselect everything except kernel

                  5 - Click on the square to the right of the kernel path and select the kernel you downloaded on step 1

                  6 - Click on flash rom

                  7 - Wait for the process to finish, unplug the device from your pc and you're done

                  Not sure if this is the best method, but this is how I've done it and it works for me

                    The link to the rom you mention in your post is borked (it got shortened). Any chance you could fix? :-)

                    I have the Cozyswan S400 and I'm just getting my feet in the waters of what to do about the netflix video issue hoping there's a rom that fixes it (maybe?)

                    Thanks.

                        Please Put somebody source code to compile the kernel with .config for mk908, asix.ko need to modify that would support D-Link DUB-E100 H / W Ver: C1,
                        it is necessary to file asix.c, add
                        +} {
                        + / / D-Link DUB-E100 H / W Ver C1
                        + USB_DEVICE (0x2001, 0x1a02),
                        +. Driver_info = (unsigned long) & ax88772b_info,

                          Hi blackstarr. Did you used same heat sink for this kernel? What about frame skipping on hd movies?
                          Thanks a lot

                            No. I don't used heat sink at all. THere's no frameskip, it's stuttering as others call it. For some reasons, the video is not rendered smoothly even though the framerate, e.g. 24fps for bluray, has been very consistent. We'll I really hope that this will get fixed in sdk 2.0 otherwise I'll throw this device out of the window and stick to rk3066 for hd movies.

                              I've flashed my unit with 1.2ghz gpu 600mhz ram 1200mhz 720p kernel. Flash is simple and for me stutternig is a little bit better but waching movie isn't still perfect. Everything else are amazing.

                              Sam321 thanks for your great work
