I super appreciate your patience. It is hard explaining lol. Now I'm on the Flash the sd boot- I went to the Russian site went to post 1880 as posted above - could not for the life of me find that TWRP Mxq Pro+ Tronsmart.rar With Russian next to it as your instructions stated. I know your instructions are very well put together so I've studied them over and over and gone to that link all afternoon. I've scoured the forum and I keep getting the same page but don't see it. I had my husband looking too. I'm really trying not to be a nuisance. Just want a working box and want to learn in the process Thanks again I really do appreciate you passing on your knowledge, experience and patience.

      I also appreciate your patience.

      days ago i write:
"I followed "how to install openelec to mxq pro plus dual boot via sd/card ".
It works perfectly on my box mxq pro+ with the Image telos-open-amlogic......img.gz.
      But it is very slow.
What is the procedure to install directly on the nand of box ?"

I would like to know if it is possible or not?

I've sent you a PM with a link to the file - not sure if you will be able to download or not. Let me know.
Also, once you have the rom loaded and completed setup you might want to consider putting Openelec/Libreelec on a bootable SD card. OE/LE work very well from SD and with this method you won't delete Android. If you don't care about Android there are ways to turn the box into an LE/OE box only. Very fast and responsive.

I sent you a PM with a link to the firmware. Pls let me know if it works for you and I will update the instructions. I guess that sd-robots removed the post for some reason.
When you have completed the setup of the rom, read through the links I have attached. You can setup OpenElec or Libreelec from an SD card, without impacting Android. You pull the SD card out if you want to use Android. Put it back in if you want OE/LE. By using OE/LE you bypass all of the related issues with Android/KODI performance.

You should read through the post detailing how to run Openelec from an SD card. OE works very well from an SD card. You can also install OE and now Libreelec to emmc, which will wipe Android and leave the box dedicated to either OE or LE. The instructions can be found in the thread - Openelec for Tronsmart Vega S95 and in particular with posts that balbes150 has created in the thread. He has done excellent work to create the SD boot and now the emmc files needed. Step by Step Instructions on How to Install Openelec on MXQ Pro+ Dual Boot Via SD Card - FreakTab.com
Check post #399 and the download folder: Libreelec Tronsmart Balbes150 Libreelec — Yandex.Disk

                  Hey reikonas,

                  it seems a misunderstanding here.

reset button has nothing to do with HDMI signal issue.

let me explain my study to you.

after i did many research for this issue, i found out it's a issue between TV's EDID and MXQ pro+ HDMI interface.

if HDMI can't get resolution info. from EDID, then HDMI will output MAX resolution(4k2k) to TV!

if your TV doesn't support 4K resolution, then TV shows there is no signal via HDMI.

so all you have to do is change resolution setting from 4k2k to 1080p

my way is installing a remote app in mxq pro+, then connect to HDMI, and connect to remote app then change setting to 1080p.

                  So screen shows up!!

but if mxq pro+ is out of power you have to do above process again......

i don't know how to fix resolution as 1080p?

maybe someday somebody can post a method how to fix resolution

                  i would appreciate it

I got it to see the files (i modified the path initially). But after it flashed successfully the tv has no signal on HDMI port 1. I tried turning them on and off. The light is blue on the box. Did I brick it?

I just saw the posts literally above me with the same problem. I will try the solution later.

I tried the solution above to short the 2 pins but it doesn't work. It doesn't reset I think, there is still no signal. The box works on an older TV on 720p resolution. What more can i do?

When you say the system is read only, do you mean Android, OE, Windows, ?
In OE you should have SSH enabled. This was part of the initial setup when you started OE.
In windows open Explorer, clear the entry in the address bar and then type in the IP of your box \\192.***.*.*** - make sure you use your box IP. You can find this in KODI in system, system info. You can review this link:

This should open the OE folder list in Explorer. Look for the Config files folder and then copy and paste remote.conf into that folder.
You can find a good remote.conf by searching this link - Openelec for Tronsmart Vega S95 - FreakTab.com

                        ok.
                        I solved the problem.
OpenELEC dual boot is read-only from sdcard when you boot.
I unzipped "SYSTEM" from sd card with mksquashfs .
                        so I changed remote.conf
I zipped "SYSTEM" from sd card with mksquashfs .
                        I finally booted.
                        The ok button now works.
The home button does not work
                        I must find the code.

I would also like to start multiple operating systems from sdcard (Openelec, Debian, internal Android) with grub2.
                        It can be done ?

but now it does not work remote ssh
                          login: root
                          password: openelec

                          [email protected]'s password:
                          Permission denied (publickey,password,keyboard-interactive).

""""""I zipped "SYSTEM" from sd card with mksquashfs""""" change root password ???

Couple things felice, you should post these questions in the correct forum, the one for OE. That way other people who can help, including balbes150, will read your posts. The link I provided is in post #55.
Re SSH, Recheck your IP to make sure it hasn't changed. You can set a static IP in OE, go into OE settings, connections, pick your connection (wifi or ethernet), pick edit as your action, click on IPV4, click on IP address Method and select manual, then type in the IP address you want to set as static. You can use the one that is shown in the window as your static address.
You can also check out Putty, which can help you to search through the box files and to send commands. ADB is also a way to access the box.
I don't know if you can select multiple operating systems. Search that out in Google first. If you get no answers than post in the Openelec thread that I gave you and ask this question. Provide details.

Is there any way to install the newer lollipop/marshmallow MBox launcher that are on most of these chinese Android TV boxes (the one with the picture of iron man on the home page)? It's not much better, but it still looks better than the old one that's included with the SD Robots firmware.

I'm using NOVA launcher and like it. The premium version is on sale a lot for $.99.
You can try searching out the MBox launcher, but there are much better ones out there.
