I've followed the tutorial and it burned down the motherboard of my PC. Maybe it was the cable, but I'm not so sure if I want to try another time when my pc will be fixed? Maybe the error was that I had the box connected with the AC adapter also? because at first I've tired to connect it to the pc without his external power but since windows was not recognizing it and some tutorial said it was needed I've tried. But 30s after I've connected the AC power the pc shutdown and its motherboard was broken

I'm pretty sure it was the cable.
The box IS supposed to be connected to the mains.
Even if the box was acting as a host and not a device, pumping 5 volts through the cable to your computer, that wouldn't kill it.
You probably just messed with the polarity or made a short circuit. Some boards have protection against this and will return to normal after switching them off and on again.. yours didn't.

Don't try it if you don't want an outdated version from 2015. Lastest firmware (I own and know) is cyx_MXQPro-NEXBOX_8189etv_8g1g_kodi_addons_160603
