    Your honour,I present my case.

I would like to win the Vorke because I have been a champion of Windows boxes since using the Ara X5 for the first time.

They work out of the box, with very little in the way of configuration required.
Just about everybody has used and knows Windows, so easy for the first time buyer to get up and running straight from the get go.
No issues with services that won;t run on many Android boxes such as Netflix and others with DRM protection.
Able to handle just about any device that you plug in with a driver almost certainly being available.
No custom anything needed and no rooting required to bypass restrictions.
A gazillion applications out there, many of which can be had for free.
Vendor software support is less likely to be needed by virtue of the fact that drivers are often cross compatible across windows machines.

The Vorke has a few advantages over the original stream of windows boxes that have come to market.

    1. the new and improved Braswell J3160 that improves upon the likes of the N3150 and better than any of the Atom X series, whist still being able to be packaged inside a low power, small box.
    2. Gigabit lan, which from my experience is vital when streaming across my local lan, where 100mb just doesn't cut it enough for high bitrate videos.
    3. AC WiFi, which, when using the device as a portable machine will handle data traffic far more efficiently than so many boxes that have only single band and s few that have dual. There is also less interference from other wireless devices around.
    4. 4Gb RAM, which is just about the right amount to satisfy the needs of video and usage as a general PC.
    5. 64Gb SSD gives enough space for Windows and just about all the apps that the average user would require.
    6. Linux will also work well on such a platform and quite likely with the minimum of fuss and modifications. More high end audio output will also be available through a Linux (or even Openelec/librelec setup).
7.Review benchmarks on the Vorke seem to bare out the speed of the SSD as being a great improvement on previous generation models.
    8. Support for an additional SSD drive just enables the kind of expansion required for those with greater needs for installation of apps and data, so makes it far more flexible,
    9. Bluetooth 4.0 is pretty much s standard on all boxes now and with AC WiFi operating on a different channel BT performance is likely to be an improvement over other boxes.
    10. HDMI and VGA gives more flexibility of use, enabling connectivity to a TV and monitor (quite possibly both at the same time too if desired).
    11. 4 USB Ports (2 x USB 3.0) should be enough to cover most external devices likely to be used.
    12. 19V/2.1A or 12V//3A should provide enough power to satisfy the demands when utilising all ports, without components falling over because of overload.

The overall versatility would enable me to use it as a true PC, and entertainment centre and it's potability is something that I could use for business purposes as well as when visiting friends and relatives to show them all my wares and goodies.

In addition, by testing all available OS options available, my feedback can also be useful to those for whom Windows should ner be mentioned, or with support for Windows 8.1, ideal for those that do not wish to go down the Windows 10 route at this time.

As a constant user, I would also provide plenty of feedback in order that the device gets continual promotion through it's real world, every day uses that will inspire users to part with their own money knowing that they would very likely know that they purchased a worthwhile device (as clarkss12 wallet will happily testify).

Defence rests M'Lord and may god have mercy on my silicon.

Take this contest with a grain of salt people.

There a repeating pattern going on with these contests with the person wining never having posted before in the forums and rarely if at all being heard from after.

Now its hard to prove on the outside of the forum but its quite odd when the winners always seem to be people no ones heard of who show up just for the contest.

Its a free way to get attention and cost them nothing in the process.

The lack of contest rules or shipping disclaimers is quite odd.

Hard to prove but where there is smoke there normally fire.

        Nice machine.

I would like to have Vorke to put a server up with my webpage using google services and html5 on a 300/50mbps connection and see how it can handle it. I have already registered my domain and this would come in handy to switch my notebook as server to some independent machine which works 24/7

This is a different kind of competition from the one we saw with the Zidoo X6.

It's not based on quantity of posts and therefore, if your case is seen as useful, then you stand as much chance to win as anybody else.

It's also easy to see how many times somebody has posted as it's shown on the right of the screen.

There was a competition not too long ago where somebody with more than 1000 posts won, so not limited to those who may well come to Freaktab just to win and then disappear off into the ether.

The Vorke brand will want to be promoted, so it may make more business sense to them to choose a person that makes the effort and is likely to promote the name more, which in turn means more sales.

Exactly who gets to choose I don't know but perhaps there is scope in this competition to say who, which may well be the manufacturer and/or Geekbuying themselves as both are sponsoring and supplying the product.

You can't really blame somebody new coming in to have a chance of winning as that can potentially bring in new interest to Freaktab too.

Win or Lose though, we do all have a choice to enter and in this particular case there is an element of challenge and effort required as you have to state your best case usage.

I would love to be the winner of the Vorke V1 because it would make a great addition to the devices that I review on my YouTube channel. This would be a nice contrast to the all android topic now with a Windows OS device. I am also looking for something to upgrade to coming from my Minix Neo X8-h and maybe even start developing on it.

I need this unit to further my quest of having classic arcade games covering all of the free space in my garage and office. I am having a mid life crisis, and the soothing sounds of Gorf, Mad Planets and Popeye, Q Bert Ms.Pac Man and Omega Race help me to cope. The space and power requirements would do nicely. Yo guys rock.

I would give it to my son, who is ten years old and already an accomplished Python programmer. He presented at Pycon last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVtFhap5U3I

I began my Master Degree is Psychology and the pc at my bedroom is having issues (restarting itself) this could be a great replacement for it, because it's small and i can fit it next to my bed and work in case my main pc stops working.

                                Hi
I should win because I'm an IT engineer and could use a powerful low-power computer for many different Server and IT projects. I'm always interested with low-power computers with more than average RAM and with 4GByte and win10 / ubuntu support the vorke would be a very interesting device to work with.
