The photo does not show the symbol for the UART. You can try to connect the UART (with some risk) using the platforms that are on the first photo. Square contact is usually GND (1), the next two from him, the contact is RX(2) / TX(3). Far from a GND contact (4) is not used.

I ask for knowlage . I only have old COM serial cable . I don't know if work for that...

Are you still working on S805 linux for tv boxes??

I brougth the MXV for install linux and still can't .. I had read the forum disscucions , test and test but men this is difficult. Were I should focus for solution. Patch the mxv dtd , or change the autoscript, or compile kernel with different configuration, or other... Modify the aml_autoscript make differences in display output? like tv or monitor with dvi. I am also beging to test lakka kernel . because lakka hq18 img works well .

The new version of images 20170815 to S805.
                The principal changes.
Changed activation procedure HDMI. Now it is the same as in other images (s812\s9xxx).
Added the function of setting the system to internal memory. Pay attention, this feature has only been tested on two models - i5 (1GB \ 8GB eMMC) and Transpeed S898 (1GB \ 8GB NAND). For both models by using a single dtb file (meson8b_m201_1G.dtb) from the image.

I think it's possible. For a more precise answer needs the data.
                  1. You have the ability to get output from the console UART ?
                  2. Is there any for this model image LibreELEC ?

                    balbes150 ,

Test the new 20170815 to S805 . For the MXV box posted before . Nothing change , same reaction . Boots and then screen goes off , some dtbs poweroff and other display off.

I compiled and test this kernel https://github.com/kszaq/linux/ 3.10.y and make one different thing the blue led goes off to red and display stays active like libreelec img . But nothing more..

Check the startup file "meson8b_m201_1G.dtb". This file must be suitable to your model. Also try to run without dtb file. Try to connect TV box to another TV.

                        Hi, great work.

Everything boots but have a few questions.

How can I install to internal/NAND?

Also how can I change the screen resolution from 720p to 1080p? Also there is overscan issues so the edges of the screen are cut off.

To install to the internal memory you need to perform on behalf of the user "root" one of "/root/install.sh" or "nand_sata_install". Before installing, I recommend you to backup the contents of the internal memory-that-be had the opportunity to return to the current state if something goes wrong. To do this, execute on behalf of the user "root" command "ddbr" (eMMC memory) or "ddbr_backup_nand" (for NAND). Please note that external media must have enough free space to create the copy. The resulting copy will be in the directory /ddbr on an external drive, you can save it on your PC or in another safe place. To change the screen resolution (if supported) you need to change the first line in the file /boot/hdmi.sh (invert the comment).

The fullscreen video is not yet supported in these versions. To fix sound you need to uninstall the pulseaudio package (it distorts).

Try this one dtb (it's assembled from your source file).
