There is no OTA update ... only information about new software ... and no further action.
Manual local update possible from SD card to a new KM8PRO-ota-20161010.201106.V070 firmware.
After update - status bar on/off , removable storage type confirmed, ...
There is no Navigation Bar auto-hide functionality.
You Tube special (red) version comes with software (not possible to change to official one from google play) but You can live with that one.
Still waiting to have a custom rom ;o)

Please let me know if there is , or will be any change in functionality.

About the navigation bar I did not understand.
When I am on full screen with Kodi or YouTube what happened with Nav bar?
Ann what about the status bar, can I Swype down to aappear?

I think this box is from videostrong, but i can not find where is the "videostrong Downloads".
Not only for this box, I have the kii pro and i can not find anything "official"

It is the Same Box as the YokaTV, and the Mecool 32/16 Version. It eben has the Same boot-up lile the YokaTV, but obviously with a slightly different branding (KM8 vs. YokaTV).

In Kodi Nav bar hides from the very beginning,
In You Tube not possible to hide Nav bar - full screen is not the solution for that.
Yes You can swipe down Status bar.
There is no support from The Manufacturer (at least on his official web page)

In YouTube it is not a solution to get into full screen, but when when you get into, the navigation bar is disappearing?

About the support and the update how all this works?
You said you have a notification about New firmware.
But where do you know where to download, is providing a link through the notification or you have to look in forums to find something?
Generally I do not understand where and how they find all the people in forums the new firmware m

No ... nav bar is still on.
Firmware ... uncle google "km 8 pro firmware" ;o)

Can we easily disable the bar and install an alternative from store or from another box?
