Plex app problem

Anyone know a solution for fixing the problem with only some videos playing on the T428? I heard of a possible solution of using a previous version of 2.5.x.x of Plex app to fix the issue. However i don't think the root of the cause is the plex app it is probably some sort of video transcoding issue in the ROM. Is there an alternative ROM anyone recommends or a solution? Running the 1.5A finless rom right now.

I run the Plex plug-in on an unRAID server. Your Android device shouldn't have anything to do with the transcoding work cause its all done on the device that is your Plex server. If one video plays they all should. At least that's how I understand it. Have you messed with the quality settings on the Plex server? Like the Local, Remote, and 3g(?) streaming settings?

You may have to change them around due to the T428 WiFi only running at a max of 65Mbps. If your wired with the USB-to-RJ45 that may help a bit maxing out at 100Mbps

Yeah I am not sure about that what ROM do you use? I tested the theory of wifi max output by switching to ethernet and still experienced the problem... I tested on two other android devices all played the same video over wifi.

Fixed the problem by switching from finless bob 1.5a to finless bob 1.4a.

I had same problem when I used

Plex app from play store (version 3.0.7.0) with tronsmart 4.2 stock rom,finless 1.5 rom and mk 908 rom



Then used amazon app store version of plex (2.5.4.7) everything worked fine until the version was upgraded to 3.0.15.24 .Now the situation is bit different.I had to use external player option to play videos using mxplayer,video app,vlc player etc .Found mx player as best with less heating...

tried new plex app version 3.0.14.23 from google play store but same result.

So now using external player option with imac plex server in local network.

My other plex clients in windows 8 and ipad worked fine with same server throught out this period without an issue

Now using finless 1.5 rom
