I tried morkas new release and found as others did that you are left with a blank screen. Im waiting for bobs 1.5

audio/browser skip

hey bob, wondering if you would have some pointers on this...

using your 1.4 for the G2 at the mo - great piece of work! just wondering if you knew the reason why whenever i browse the internet and listen to audio at the same time i get alot of audio stuttering and skipping. ive tried all browsers, and all audio players - and all combinations give the same problem. i had this with the stock too, it doesnt happen to the same extent if for example i play a game and listen to audio, the fact of browsing (with any browser) seems to be the issue? will 1.5 help with this you think?? cant wait for it!

Hey Bob, I just been sitting here quiet waiting for 1.5 for my G2. They came out with a Beta version 1.0 for my Onda Vi40 and all I can say is that this tablet is rapidly growing on me. Today I loaded 650 songs from my iTunes file. The video on Netflix is awesome. If these Android 4.0ICS are any indication, Apple will have a run for their money. Then they are supposed to release a dual core version in the next release. Damo purchased the Cube 4.0 ICS and all reviews have these as the best 2 out thus far. Back to the 1.5 release, cannot wait. I play with both and I am getting further away from the Arnova, so I need something new to play with. I kept Morks's rom you fixed on my G2 and other than some quirks it has been fairly smooth. Biggest issue is that the Yahoo mail app will not work, but if I go there with Opera yahoo works fine.

The difference between the IPs screen and the Ics is miles apart compared to the Arnova(still like the Arnova though) do you agree Jake?

the screen on the G2 I really fell in love with, great response and scrolling was FAST! When I first received my Onda the pic quality blew me away, but then it was lagging and a lot slower than the G2. Now with the 2 updated firmware releases this was addressed and now the 2160p along with the 5 point touch now that the lagging has been addressed has caught the G2 and passed it up! I would love to see the response pic of your Cube. So far all of the reviews between them has the Cube ahead in the screen with the 10pt. Touch. My first Android was a resistive touch, and boy what a difference. Sorry Bob! Don't mean to make you jealous, but I have been spoiled by the G2, but now I have gone to new heights with the Onda! I enjoy it more than my iPhone 4! Had to go to Apple store today, wife's i4 froze with upgrade! Wow, people in the store think they are tablet Gods! After I finished talking Android, a couple wrote down sites to check out the new Android tablets.

I have a 10G2, and nothing else is as fast as finless debloated, so wait for it and it will kick your asses.
And my app will help you guys have what you like inside rom, but nothing else.
So, ok, my (36k) app will still have to be included in order to have all that apps installed or not, but it will be worth it.
As far as I know (sorry bob if I tell too much) but 1.5 should be a really barebone, and my app included should make users choose what they want to include in the core system, at install time.

And later my app should be used for upgrading ROM apps. So it is not really bloatware, but you can still remove it if you like. I will provide links about how to remove it if you like, but it won't be any quicker to boot, so don't do it if you seek for perf.

Are you streaming your music or playing it from files on your tablet? Have you tried TTPOD as a music player? It was free, but I think the Market now charges for it. Anyway, when I try to stream from Google Music I get stutters. Files on my tablet play fine with TTPOD. Also keep your cache and RAM clean so your browser and music player have more RAM to work with. There is also a free program (I forget the name) that keeps apps from opening that you aren't using. This will give the apps you are using more juice.

I will be testing Petrus' latest creation later tonight or tomorrow AM (I am kind tired from work today). But if it works like his first release I tested which I bet it will..... There is a good chance I will have the ROM out tomorrow!!!

Sorry baalmoloch, I cant do much to help you with that 3G stick if I don't have the drivers. Fenice57 found the current Huwai drivers we are injecting some where. If there is a source for the .ko drivers I for sure could include them.

With kernel sources, we could make nearly everything work with your tablet, such as every 3g stick that has a linux driver, much more 3d tweaks, and really fixkernel related issues. So spam arnova until they answer.
