If the box is 'OFF', then the led is 'red' (that's when you shutdown with a long press of the power button).
Typically you only put it to standby and then the led stays blue.

You can find languages in the android settings.
You can get to them via the developer options of the skin, or drag down the top bar and click the settings icon.

Hello,

I wish to upgrade firmware of R-TV Box K99.

Firmware update is available on GeekBuying site.

Downloaded “BatchTool_V1.7” and “ DriverAssitant_v4.4” along with “ R-TV BOX K99_RK3399_wifi6255_6.0_20170418.img"

First, tried to update by copying image file to root of MicroSD card.

After booting in recovery mode, I can see MicroSD card but can’t see image file. – Unable to upgrade.

Then I tried connecting TV box from PC.(USB-C connection)

Batch tool program open with Chinese Language with message “Loading config file failed”

Config.ini file is in same directory of batch tool program.

If I type a path of image file and tried to operate batch tool, program hangs!

Please help mi in detail how can I upgrade.

I've used v1.8 of the tool. For your convenience you'll find that version (configured to run in English) here:

For those that want to know, you need to update Selected=2 to choose english in the language section of config.ini.

Do not forget to run the DriverAssistant before you connect the box before attempting the upgrade.

And for the K99 you need to press the reset button before connection the USB-C to your PC.

If you still get issues in the batch tool, you might want to try 'Run as Administrator' by right clicking on the exe.

But after rebooting, the unit is stuck on "Box is setting up, Please Wait" for more than hour.
Tried to reset again, but no luck.

I found it can get stuck at that first boot at setting up.
After a 10 minutes, removed powered and re powered
Second time it kicked and all was ok.
