There is video stutter, no sound and the DD plus do kodi master crash. No picture and no sound in Spmc set in IEC 5.1 for DD plus. Sorry for the log but i can not get a log.

Thanks for letting me know. It's hard to know what's happening with Kodi without a log especially since I don't have that device and I can't reproduce that on my box.

Anyone else that can provide a log with Kodi master (nightly)?

I'v tested it today. R68G
Wifi works. Ethernet don't.
Was not able to run google play. Even tried to update it from chrome.
So i'v installed Kodi 17RC1 from kodi site using chrome.
Enabled SPDIF in android settings and enabled AC3 passthrough + AC3 transcoding in kodi settings (sync to video is disabled, and 2.0 channels selected as they are by default).
AC3 5.1 works fine for me.
AAC 5.1 is transcoded to AC3 5.1 fine too.
But all stereo sound don't work (no matter AC3 or AAC). My external player still shows 5.1 sound but no sound from it.
I'v watched one hour of video on default settings (no passthrough) in KODI and there was no "sound stutter" issue.
But looks like because of slow video decoding (not optimized must be) some times (often) video was slower than audio and desync started to grow (like in latest official test firmware).

Damn ... so stutters for some, others no. That firnware scores probably 14K-15K better than any stock firmware, so it's not performance.

Also, I may just throw in the towel - I'll need some more logs first - because now I'm seeing reports of additional problems that don't exist on my test box, and so I can't reproduce.

Obviously there's no stuttering for me, but what surprises me is the lack of stereo sound. I don't have that issue. So that's yet another quirk when running on that device that I just can't reproduce. I'll try to think of something else but for now I'm at a loss given the new unexpected results.

EDIT: video out of sync I know how to fix, that's not in my v2 February build but that won't run on your device. 1.5 will run on your box with this resource - but no passthrough. Biggest problem there is the logs look fine, I don't have a receiver so that's what I look at. I'm unable to test for myself, even then I wouldn't doubt there would be an issue or another with the i68/r68.

Another strange thing, I tested play services and they worked fine, so I'm confused.

Just a note, when testing please everyone make sure to flash the entire firmware image to get consistent results.

Btw its not that I don't have stereo sound at all. Its only on SPDIF + external dvdplayer that decodes AC3. If I use HDMI that is connected to TV and default settings then I will get sound from all soundtracks.
And this is not a problem in dvdplayer. For example in wasser firmware I have ONLY stereo sound but it is stereo from all streams (5.1 & 2.0) and it is linear stereo (PCM) (not AC3).
And also I'm sure I had more sound stutter problems when I was watching video using default "Video" app. WIth Kodi its better.

I tried the rom, wifi works with the fix, there are problems with google play, I had to download the google play services apk ... after many problems google play worked ... I only tried YouTube and TuneIn ... in both programs much Stuttering ... when in TuneIn listening music in background while doing a little demanding cpu things (how to install or open some program) there was a lot of stuttering ... on youtube at the beginning of the playback there was also a lot of stuttering .. In the rest of the video also suffered stuttering but less ... stuttering only happens when watching HD (720 1080) videos ... when I watch SD videos there is no stutter ... Another thing I do not know if is related or not with this, is that in all 5.1 ROMs at the time of running the antutu (3D test) instead the background music, i hear only choppy noise ... wasser and geekbox (both Android M) are the only roms i tried that the background music is heard fine in the test ... muchas gracias por tu trabajo, saludos!!!
