HOLY SHIT DUDE LOL, I wonder how come manufacturers themselves havent came out wiht a case design that incorporates a fan yet. I bet someone could actually make decent money making a barebones case for these AMP types of devices that the PCB boards can be inserted into, sorta like a mobo.

Leolas any idea about the problem with the usb getting recogniZed as unknown device, maybe i can do smth similiar to the mask mode with the nand, but this time with the usb otg controller.

Sorry, but no more ideas.
If you do the steps rigth, and it didn't work I dont know.(Maybe reset button is broke?)
If you power off completely the stick, press the reset button, and while is pressed conect the microusb, important is not release the reset button untill windows find the device, then install the proper driver for your os, selecting it manually. Then you must use rkdevtool 1.37 or the last rkflashtool, they must detect your device in loader mode.
If you are root, you can use terminal emulator and write:
su
reboot bootloader
To enter in loader mode without press the reset button.

I tried that and a lot of other things but they dont work. I think that the otg controller is just broken but at least it powers on ok and works. Only the data is affected. Guess after 6 months im gonna buy a new one. Well cheers

I tried on all usb ports of my pc, with 3 different cables and even in safe mode, uninstalled the usb ports and reinstalled all of them on windos 7 and xp sp3 on anther pc. Tried on my laptop with linux lubuntu, no luck there too

neoal, after reading your problem, I think I know what the cause might be.
The chinese often use crappy USB slave control chips, in our case, it is the Active 8847QM (don't ask me, it is a completely noname brand, couldn't even find any reference to it online!). I think that on yours, this very chip might be damaged, at least I would think so.
If not, it might be an interruption in the circuitry, maybe a badly welded microUSB header. These can be tested, as, our device, fortunately is made in a way that both USB slots can act as either host, or slave. So if you have a Male-to-male A USB cable, you can try it out (while it *should* detect the device, I doubt this method will result in an actually working USB port. Blame Android for this ).

Alas, you can also update without USB. Simply put an update.img on an sd card root, pop it in, and it should be detected by the system, and ask you to reboot to apply the update. No repartitioning, unfortunately, but you can at least update to new releases.

Really thank you for the help i think ill try the other port. Im just a little afraid of damaging that port because without that i cant connect the usb hub so it means no mouse keyboard or usb storage. Im curious how is it that the usb flash drive or mouse are recognized if the usb controlling chip is damaged. Thx

I confirm that i can use the update from the sd card. I tried that and it worked good but unfortunately i can use only the stock roms. If i want to flash finless bob or strauzo rom guess i cant use this method.
