Yes, you will lose settings and installed apps, but I still recommend doing a "clean install" like this. Many of your settings will be backed up, however, if you've signed in with a Google account.

Yes, I do have a release for GT1 and GT1 Ultimate, but it hasn't seen an update since January. With my Netflix and YouTube TV subscriptions, I've kind of lost interest in boxes without Widevine L1.

I recommend a data wipe when switching between ATV and non-ATV variants, either by checking the box during the update or by using the Amlogic burn package (.img file). That will give you a fresh, factory install.

Known Bugs:

• Clicking on Vision Settings in the setup wizard will launch an unsupported activity in Settings.
• You can enable the nav bar in Settings->Display->Statusbar, but may need to toggle back and forth before it will show.

It should work if you have L1 on your M8S Pro, but I never got my "fix" and so I can't test it.
