Now I am using a portable hard drive and I am opening media files on it. I'm positive that has something to do with it.

is the setting to allow the android box to be a file server..
If its possible would love for you to continue with that setting in your newer builds..

Ahh good to know I don't use ftmc but will look into it. Will also re add file server system to R2
