    Everything's perfect here now!

Stock 4.2.2 Rom with 20130219 xbmc alpha build with hw accel.
720p working smoothly and all plugins are flowing like water!

    Thank you so much!

    Cheers

You are welcome! Nice to hear it works for you now .
I hope the commoncache bug gets fixed soon though, would be nice if we could also use the latest builds of xbmc.

I'm sad to realize that afterall the problem reappeared...
After some hours using xbmc, in the middle of a movie stream, it stopped and there it was. Black wallpaper, and no response... Not even the quit button. After that, no matter what I do, I only get to play 1 quick video... And that's all.
One thing I noticed this time was a notice in the android status bar, saying I was lacking memory... But I don't have anything installed since it's a fresh. ROM.

Don't know what to do... Maybe flashing with a custom Rom... A lighter and optimized one... Dunno...

Yes, Finless wrote somewhere that official 4.2.2. is bloated extensively. You should definately try a custom rom. I tried all of the latest ones and i personally prefer Hybryd 2.2.4.

            hey there!

just installed hybryd 2.4.4 rom. I guess this one doesnt have 1080p, but i can live well with 720p though. I noticed i can select 1080p resolution in the android settings... is it true 1080p? i'm asking because i read all over about a 2dark4you kernels... but i dont know anything about it...

One thing i noticed is that my MEASY rc12 airmouse doesnt work as well, specially when downloading anything... it stutters when i try to move it... very strange...

I'll use the xbmc Test 20130219 build with advancedsettings.xml and hope to have this stabilized...

            What you think?

On stock kernel, the 1080p in the settings is not a real 1080p, it is 720p upscaled to 1080p. 2dark4you is a custom kernel for mk808 that supports real 1080p. I never used it because i have a mk808B but i guess the overall performance will be lower on real 1080p and i don't think that real 1080p is worth a performance drop.
I also have a rc12 and never noticed any malfunction on any rom so far. Maybe some cpu intensive task was running in background that made the pointer stutter a little. You could try to use the entropy generator app (i think it is called seeder), that should reduce lag.

i dont know why, but this rom doesnt really seem to be working fine for me...
I'm on wi-fi and it was way better with the previous stock 4.2.2 rom...

The internet connection looks very slow, when downloads are active the mouse becomes unstable, and on xbmc videos dont buffer... stuck on 0%

Is this normal? I flashed it normally, and everything went just right...

That really sucks man. I read about wifi problems on this rom previously but i never experienced any of these problems. Maybe it is because of tiny differencies of the hardware, who knows...
You should test finless 2.1 and/or finless 1.7 rom, maybe they work better for you

                    What about hybryd 2.2.3?

Yes, you can try this one too. It probably debends on your device and your usage which one is the best for you. So try them until you find a nice one .

I'm just afraid of damaging the device with so many ROM changes...

If you follow the instructions the chance of damaging your device is almost zero. Flash Finless 2.1 first, it works very well for most people.

                            Hey there again!

Been testing finless 2.1 since yesterday.
Everything was running perfect, 720p was running great and the break up/unresponding bug wasn't there at all.tried like 10 different videos ans all was excelent.
Today 720p started to stutter and running slow and after a while the same old problem came. Back! No response cant quit xbmc and black wallpaper. I have to go kill the task manually....

Device damaged? I have it connected to tv USB for powering... Is it bad?
What can I do more? I don't know why is this happening... Everyone else seems to have this mk808 working scept me? Does aanyone want add anything to this discussion?

                            Thanks for all the help!

Powering it through the TVs USB is indeed very bad. You can potentially damage your TV because your stick sucks more engergy than the USB port can deliver. Usually these USB ports deliver 500mA, a dualcore stick needs about 1000mA. I strongly suggest you to power it through a USB power adapter. If you don't have one that delivers at least 1000mA, use a USB port on your computer.

PS: Are you using a the advancedsettings.xml for XBMC?
