    Hey there again!

Ok I unplugged it from the tv USB and started using the power adapter that came with the dongle.

    I'm using the advancesettings.xml yes...

I'm gonna try now with it powered with the adapter... But I don't have high hopes...

Thanks so much for the support and help

Edit: tested 720p and it's slow and stuttering...

      Hey there again everyone!

Sad to tell you that I installed hybryd 2.2.3 and happened exactly the same. Right after installation it works perfect in 720p(I don't even ask for 1080p) but after a bit it just stops working any hd content smoothly anymore... Why is this!?

Doesn't make any sense at all! I'm using advancedsettings.xml and alpha1 xbmc build... Works great after fresh Rom installation and then just stops playing good 720p with no stutters and slow...

      Any help?

        Solved finally!!!!

At least now I know where the problem is... I don't know why, maybe because of any adon I was installing but I re-copied the advancedsettings.xml to the userdata folder again and it worked. 720 and 1080 working great now!

Maybe some addon was rewriting that file in its installation...

I'm currently with hybryd 2.2.3 720p. Would any other ROM options bring more quality to a 32" led? Or should I stick to this one?

        Thanks!

          hi mate!

          im glad you solved it!!

just to confirm, you can now play 720p video smoothly using xbmc on a mk808? if so, i would love to know how i can achieve this too. would you be able to provide a detailed list of the steps you used?

          regards.

            advancedsettings.xml

Hi , could you give us the advancedsettings.xml ?

I have the same problem with my mk808b , XBMC is stuttering and not smooth.

You can find this file on this thread: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ers-read-this)

Look under the section "XBMC test build with HW.(dated 2/19/13)."

THX Bueno , I found the files and will test it with some roms . Do you know if its better to take a 720p version or is the performance difference not so big to an 1080p Version ?

I hope i get an smooth stick with XBMC , i have an RaspberryPi with XBMC (Open Elec) and it runs so good and smooth. but not this stick

Actually, this question is answered in the second post in the same thread I linked to before:

                  Conclusion:

The results show that by far the best performance you can have is running the 720p kernel, with, or without an overclock. The stock 1080p is pretty much worthless for anything that will tax the GPU, remember, it's not just games that need the GPU, most movie players will require the GPU to decode video files. You may find that running the stock 1080p not only limits the games you can play, but also the quality of the movie.
I haven't personally been able to verify any of this, because I've only used 720p ROMs. Right now, I think digitop's MK808B_digitopMod_MINIX_NEO-G4_port(0730)_Sep2013 ROM has the highest benchmark rating of all MK808B roms:

I've been using it for a few days now and it's been working well for me. The only hard part is flashing it, because you'll need to install CWM.

Download links and step by step install instructions to install the ROM can be found here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?7098-MK808B_digitopMod_MINIX_NEO-G4_port-(0730)-_Sep2013

If you don't get the message to install the update.zip from microsd card, here is an alternate method to install CWM: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...rk3066-devices

Step 3 says to use a reboot app, you can use this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t013u662jh...oot_v0.9.1.apk

*From my experience, CWM will NOT work on a TV that doesn't support 1080p resolution. I have a 1080i TV and it simply will not display CWM unless I connect the device to a 1080p TV.

                    ok

Thanks Bueno for your help ,

i have installed the newest digitop mod and its a nice and fast rom.

But i cant find a xbmc version that runs completly smooth . tried 4-5 versions with libstage and have the advanced settings copied in the xbmcs users directory.

Most of my mkvs are very slow , from 5 only 1 or 2 running normal.

But its not so bad , when i start the mkvs with mxplayer or movie player they are running good.

                    Thank you

                      Use this XBMC
From today, on the following link there will be published modded versions of nightly XBMC builds with the following modifications:
                      - hardpacked advancedsettings.xml for HW acceleration
                      (into /assets/userdata in the apk)
                      - the ability to setup XBMC as a Launcher (Home button goes back to XBMC at any time. You need to setup this in Settings)
                      (modifying /AndroidManifest.xml in apk)
                      - adds Kiosk mode option for default Confluence skin, if enabled, it hides all view sidemenus (those which sometimes annoyingly opens when you press left or right too much )
                      (modifying various skin files)

                      This is the link:

New versions will be published shorty after they are available on the nightly builds mirror.

Newest always package available on http://tv.100dola.eu/xbmc/mod/newest

If you have XBMC as a Launcher, the "auto-hide navbar" will not work. You need to get "fullscreen!" app for this.

Does the common cache plugin work in this version?

All 3rd party addons work, haven't had any problems.
This is the same as the nightly versions, so if something gets fixed today, it's also fixed in this version.
Can't remember seeing any common cache plugin error.

So does that mean that the python interpreter bug is finally fixed?

There were python fixes recently to xbmc but I don't think it's completely fixed yet.
All 3rd party addons work correctly, is there a certain addon that needs the common cache plugin that you use?
