I came to the forum a few days ago trying to find a solution to my H96 continuous crashing. After many hours reading I decided to give this ROM a go and I can say that after 20 or 21 attempts I finally got it working using the uSD card method. I never did get USB burn tool to recognize my box. Anyway, I got the OTA update done and now I'm going to sit down and enjoy the fruits of my labour. Thanks a lot to superceleron . I'll be buying you a beer or 2.

    Rom is great.
    I have only one question...
    I live in poland.
I care about simple applications such as: TVP VOD, Showmax, Player TVN, Smart YouToube.
They work. Is there any chance that it will start in the next update? : ((((

Pardon my ignorance but how do you use the USB burning tool for a zip file?

Hi, did you manage to solve this problem? mine is also stuck at the Super Celeron boot screen after i flashed it using TWRP. i pulled out the SD card when it finished installing using TWRP and was booting. not sure if that caused this issue. now nothing is working. just stuck at boot screen. the USB male to male just never worked for me and hence i used SD card method.

    @superceleron

    Hi

    I can't reboot when I use this rom(green version),

So I can't upgrade to SCV4A by OTA because it shows "rebooting" then just shut down and doesn't reboot.

And I want to rotate my screen , how can I do that? I tried "Ultimate Rotation Control" APP , but it doesn't work. Thanks

Anyone have any tips on adding the HS2734A wifi drivers to this build? I've got a bunch of the newer H96Pro+ with the black boards with HS2734A wifi. I do have firmware from the seller. I've tried using Ricky's AMTools pack to extract both images and attempt to copy the various files over, but I must be missing something. The images I create will either boot with no wifi, or I'm unable to get past the initial setup wizard as 'Google stopped working' repeatedly and it sticks on 'checking for updates', but wifi is working.

I've tried taking the original firmware, deleting the app / fonts / framework / media / priv-app folders, and copying the ones from this bundle in. Tried using beyond compare and copy many other folders / files from other folders, but just can't get past checking for updates... I've also tried using some of the other androidtv packages out there that boot on this box, but just no luck...

    Help anyone?

Oh, here's the link to the factory firmware. H96PRO+_2G_HS2734A_1000M_7.1.2018.07.02.21.35.img

I also tried it some weeks ago. Showed the same "problems" as every other Android 7 ROM. He said he is going to make an Oreo release after taking a break, let's see if that is true, and if that solves codec problems. According to superceleron, it might do in Oreo 8.1.

So I finally got time for testing. This ROM works very well and have built in what it is needed to have FTMC/SPMC with AMLCodec. My conclussions for H96Pro+ v6 are:
    1) Kodi 17 and 18 do not work well, specially when subtitles are used. There is judder and stuttering in horizontal panning scenes and framedrops when subtitles are rendered. This happens with this ROM as with any other ROM I've tried so far (more than 10). It seems it has to be with crappy Android drivers for the S912.
    2) FTMC/SPMC both work very similarly. In this ROM AMLCodec works perfectly, meaning that there is no noticeable judder/stuttering. Playing experience with these two Media Players is outstanding. Even framerate autoswitch works.
    3) In this ROM 1080p24fps mode works (the stock ROM was rubbish and 24fps mode was horrible). This combined with framerate autoswitch (see point 2) gives you the best possible playing quality.
    4) FTMC/SPMC both have some problems with handling Bluetooth Audio and it takes from 30s to 1m to start sinking sound after seeking. This is the only drawback I see with these players, since most of the times I use BT earphones to watch everything. It has nothing to do with Android or the ROM (e.g. Youtube works perfectly fine). It is these players showing this issue.

Altogether good ROM, specially because it gives you access to AMLCodec on FTMC/SPMC (my stock ROM did not), but I still prefer just dual-booting into Libreelec and have Kodi 17 with AMLCodec and framerate switch.
