Well this build was not made to change it, it possible but it will give you some work!
if you really want to change it easily i recommend you using the "normal" version of this fw, since this one is the ATV.

Thanks ReaperMan, I asked for a version 8 or higher (8+), so android 9 pie is fine, I just don't know which firmware to download, I ask you who are more experienced than me. Can you tell me which one I can use?

There were no public releases of Android 8 for our chipset(s912).
There is Android 9, 10 and 11. Currently, only Android 9 (Pie) has multiple developers releasing firmwares.

The Frankenstein image failed to burn to box using amlogic burn tool. Could not get a good image of the Pie rom that everyone failed to parse and load in the same tool. Re-installed the Wisdom rom...any suggestions?

Might be possible to upgrade to android 9... if factory firmware is a total letdown?

Having trouble uploading images to show what i have. I am using what you guys have linked for me, but they are flakey at best. I would love to try any thing workable. The box is q201_9377 7.1.2
