Hmm..
libreelec uses about 200mb of nand space...what remains you can freely use
on mine two devices running libreelec 7 and 8
/dev/system used about 135mb ( size partition 1gb )
/dev/data used 720 mb ( size partition depends on 8 gb or 16 gb unit : 8gb = 5.3 / 16 = 12gb freely useable space )
/dev/xxx is you sdcard
on some devices you can even dualboot : android from nand and libreelec from sdcard
Hope that answers your question

Not really.
I do not want to dual boot.
What I mean to say is that I would like to create 2 partitions on the internal emmc. One called "userdata" lets say. And the other for the LE system.
So when I issue the command "installtointernal" to write LE to the internal, it should only use the system partition, and the userdata partition should be accessible to me to use for storage.

In linux you can use fdisk, it's command line but a very good program.
Or there is gparted that has a graphical interface.
Good luck
