You need a windows machine.
-Power off the stick completely.
-Press the reset button and while is pressed connect the microusb to the OTG port, dont release the reset button until windows detect your stick.
-Install the proper driver for your OS if you dont have them installed yet. You can obtain them from:http://cloud.freak-tab.de/public.php...fb85f0987122db
-Open RKAndroidTool.exe.

-Follow the steps in the picture. Be sure that you are in loader mode: Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb.
1.-Select the files to be flashed the are in the folder leolas-rom-QX1.
2.-Select the squares in the left like in the screenshoot.
3.-Click Erase IDB.
4.-Click Run.
I stack up on phase where I need to add files (1. Select the files) for items for 1 to 8. First off all even if I have status "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb" I have only one line with item 1, nothing more. Does it mean that I also items form 2 to 8 should show automatically on the list or I should point it out with the same addresses shown on the screen? In zip directory I have 3 config files, however non of them correspond to what is shown on the screen (addresses have got another values). Can you please to help me to clarify it? I would like to avoid to brick my new wonderful, intergalactic imito qx1 which arrived to me one hour ago

Select all the files marked in the picture, and select in the right side the files corresponding, for example if the parameter section select parameter file inside the folder leolas-rom-qx1, in the kernel secction select kernel.img in the folder leolas-rom-qx1, in the boot, boot.img, etc... Let unchecked the section backup.

Anyway, flash a rom is easy, but read a little in the forum can help a lot, folowing this steps exactly is the way I used to flash the rom, I made the guide following it step by step.

OK, so what I am going to do now is:
1. On the left side of the window click right button of the mouse, choose "add item" -> item number 2 shown up.
2. in the colum Name, typewrite Parameter
3. Click on the last colum choose file Parameter from leolas-rom-QX1 directory
4. Leave address the same
5. go from point 1 do 4 where at the and I will have item 3 with Name "misc" and file misc and adresss 0x00002000. and so on.

I mean all columns must be the same like in the screen and I need to prepare all cells manually like I described above, is that right?

You only need to mark the left square and the right with the path. One you select the path for loader and parameter the secctions must appears.

From a local storage? At what resolution? Remember to check the frame skipping fix from a file in a local storage, I have a really good wifi speed in this device, but sometimes buffering from network can fail. Can you give me a link with the video who fail?
Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry about double-posting and orthographic autocorrection, I am from my mobile phone and tapatalk and sometimes it fails a lot.

Do you have any other example of frame skipping that I can test? Maybe a film trailer? Who can be downloaded.

@damianos

This tutorial, is to help those flashing for the first time, using option number 2 in the OP. I feel there is confusion about where to click to browse to where the files have been extracted.

This post is going to seem redundant, I'm sure, to most, but it just might clarify what needs to be selected.

After you have followed instructions downloading and extracting the files, make sure you remembered where you extracted the files to, bring up the flash tool, and make sure the RKAndroid tool says "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb". If it does not, you will have to hit the "Switch" button next to the EraseIDB button to put the stick into flash mode. Be sure to press EraseIDB, before you flash the rom for the first time. Once that is done, you need to look at the window where all the check boxes are. Across the top, you will see

|# |☐| address| name | path | ... |

At the moment, all you want to be concerned with, is the | ... | column.
In the Loader row, click the blank space under the | ... | column, and browse to the leolas-rom-QX1 directory. The file we are looking for is Loader.bin. after you select the file and hit the Open button, you will see that the name is filled out for the loader in the | path | column. Repeat the process for boot, kernel, misc, parameter, system, and recovery. Once they have all been directed to the correct directory, go to the |☐| column, and make sure the first 7 boxes are checked. You do not need to check the backup box. Press the "Run" button, and be sure to watch the dialog box on the right, to know when the flash is over. Refer to OP for wait times after flashing. I hope this gives a little bit more detail to the flash process, and if I left out anything important, let me know.

Most of all, Enjoy this incredible AMP! (Android Mini PC) for those new to the lingo......

I've experienced the frameskipping as well, with my powered hdd connected to a usb hub (unpowered). Even with 720p... Running 1.0 with the 1800 kernel. I've played the movies with mx player. It's an old usb hub, could this be the issue? (maybe usb 1.0 or something?)

When skipping time in MKV files, sometimes the device stops working and freezes. When pulling the micro usb charging cable and reconnect it, 'android.acore.process' or something got an fc. This happened a few times. Also my airmouse doesn't respond sometimes after a hard reboot (plug out, plug in).

Maybe not the right place, but if someone knows it, why doesn't XBMC recognize my hdd, while with es explorer, I can see the files and play them with mx player. (http://www.xbmcandroid.com/2013/05/0...ndroid-is-out/)

Is there an app, with which I can control the device? I tried RKRemote Control (2.0.2), but it doesn't recognize the device.

Thanks for your hard work, Leolas!

Thank you for valuable explenation. I have only one doubt, that is acually why I started posting here. Now I have "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb" status I have first line with Loader, I am doing what is needed, base on yours and others descriptions. I completed it for the first line. You wrote that I shoud repeated the process for boot, kernel, misc, paramters, system and recovery. I haven't got in on the list I have only item 1 which is loader. I would like to confirm it with you if on "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb" status I should have listed (automatically) all of this mentioned boot, kernel, misc, parameter, system, and recovery _or_ I should prepare it manually (lines boot, kernel, misc, parameter, system, and recovery) by myself and add files base on the process described by you. I know that I am repeating myself. I just want to have a confirmation from you that even if i have only one item and rest of them I need to add that is fully correct I shouldn't worry about that.

Correct, you just have to look up the corresponding files manually with the |...| buttons. It doesn't do this automatically, you have to give up the path to the directory where the corresponding files are.
