I also have a couple of symlinks wrong so the boot animation is broken.

Does it mean that I will have to reflash mine? Or should it be fine as it is with the 4gb parameter file?

No need to re flash. I will be updating the download, unless I make any significant changes then don't bother.

If you want to correct the boot animation then using a file browser, I use esfileexplorer,

make system writable
Browse to /system/media
Delete the two files bootanimation_0.zip and bootanimation_1.zip
Copy bootanimation.zip and paste, renaming the copy bootanimation_0.zip
Copy bootanimation.zip and paste, renaming the copy bootanimation_1.zip
