Check Meta specs again, same RAM, extra storage capacity is not relevant on the S95s. As stated, I recall running the AM1 ROM on the Meta(2/8), the AM1 has 2/16.

Not having an M18, I cannot offer advice on getting in to its recovery or MASKROM mode. Regardless, I have more faith in the USB method than a card. Make any progress on getting a second hand or cheapo Win10 or Linux machine? That would make your flashing easier, still an adventure, but easier.

When running, especially in a finless way ... beats the snot out of most of the stuff I've seen in the past 18 months. Just saying. Plus I thought that was the point of keeping these old threads around?
