1, Install this version with all the licences or
2, unzip it, go into its system files and from the Licence folder, copy all the licences from there into the licence folder of the one you already have installed.
I used option 2 and it worked.

Hi,
I got the box on Friday - purchased it from g33kbuying.
The box is running "s905x013-userdebug 7.1.2 NHG47L 20171122 test-keys" firmware. It's painfully slow, particularly its launcher, which I don't mind, but the main problem I certainly don't like is the video playback. Most of the 1080p x265/HEVC 10bit movies I've tested exhibit marked stuttering (jumpy, choppy, laggy, especially when the camera is moving as opposed to its static position) in all the tested apps (MX Player, VLC Player, KODI). Ironically enough, the 4K x265/HEVC 10bit video I tested plays somewhat fine. Youtube streaming works fine as well, albeit the wi-fi reception is very poor.
Can anyone replicate the aforementioned bugs or tell me whether the "s905x MXQ PRO+ 2018.01.26" firmware update eliminates these issues or not?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
EDIT: My 9 year old PC plays the 1080p x265/HEVC 10bit files more smoothly using SW acceleration than the MXQ PRO+ using hardware acceleration!
EDIT 2: Successfuly flashed the "s905x MXQ PRO+ 2018.01.26" firmware, but the situation is still the same, nothing has changed. Moreover, the new Youtube app makes the video quality even worse! Please, help. Do you have any recommendation for a reliable custom firmware, please?
EDIT 3: Solved the issue running LibreELEC + KODI (8.2.3.1) - the playback is extremely smooth, just perfect. Different refresh rates of the videos seem to be the culprit and Android can't handle it properly. (it's mostly 1920x1080 at 60Hz vs. 1920x1080 at 24Hz)Last edited by MiDe3; 22 February 2018, 06:08.

The Android interface is sluggish though, the playback options or the hdmi self-adaptation haven't solved the aforementioned playback problem, so the LibreELEC was the consequential step - the generic custom LibreELEC build provided by kszag works perfectly. I highly recommed installing it. The only thing I'm missing is the YT android app. The performance of the box is more than sufficient for the HEVC 10bit 1080p/4k playback, the culprit is the sh***y Android firmware.

No issues whatsoever regarding the flashing process, just be sure the box you own is the box being sold by g33kbuying, run the app, load the img, connect the box using toothpick method via USB-to-USB, wait till its finished, unplug the box. That's it. Personally speaking, I like the 30.12. version the best as it's not totally sluggish and there is the modified Youtube app included in the build capable of streaming in the max. resolution and using smartphone as a remote controller.

Hi MiDe3, I've got the box to boot into LibreELEC from SD card however the remote control does not appear to work. Did you have this same issue and if so how did you resolve? Once i can get control working once, i'll just enable YATSE within KODI and use that.
Thanks in advance HitenLast edited by hitz78; 13 March 2018, 17:10.

sorry for the late response.
Check the CEC compatibility of your TV model here: https://kodi.wiki/view/CEC
My TV is Samsung LE32B650 and CEC (Anynet+) works flawless.
MXQ Pro+ (stock 30.12. fw) + my own HDMI cable + LibreELEC 8.2.3.1 build for S905 (generic ROM + generic DTB 2/16) flashed on 8GB 30MB/s Sandisk Extreme SD card and booted with the use of toothpick method.
Everything works flawless except for the known firmware-related bugs.
Try browsing LibreELEC forums. You might solve the issue with the use of terminal.
